Summertime in the land that I love
It is summertime and the flowers are blooming. Beautiful flowers of every color and variety. Their fragrance can be smelled in the air and their beauty brings such sweet moments to our lives. There is nothing like flowers growing around your home whether you planted them or they are just wild flowers. You can brighten up any corner of your home by clipping a few and putting them in a vase and displaying them in a prominent place for all to see.
My challenge for this theme is to make a card inspired by flowers. Here is a helpful link to names and pictures of all the state flowers in the map above. Those of you who live in other countries can show us your flowers as well. Don't worry if you don't have a flower stamp, use your punches and die cuts and make some flowers. So whether it is your state flower, your country or district flower, or just a flower that you love from anywhere, let's see those Summertime Flowers from the Land that I love!

I love the map of the US you provided to give us lots of inspiration. Great challenge. I will definitely be jumping in once I finish work for the day. Can't wait to see what everyone does with this one.
You can just about convert any stamp or punch into any style flower. That is what is so fun. Then you can ink and embellish it to your hearts content and it looks pretty!!!
Fun challenge Carol! I have to get something to eat but will get to this challenge sometime over the weekend. I bet no one can guess what my flower will be! LOL
Ok, so I caught up by doing a 3x3 card. I'm from Delaware and our flower is the Peach Blossom (which is pink, go figure). Our state colors are blue and gold - pretty close to Marina Mist and Daffodil Delight, so I used those for the base.
Not sure where my brain is tonight. All I can seem to come up with are Cricut projects. This was what was in my head when I envisioned this one, though, and I really like the way the card turned out.

Like so many others I didn't have a stamp of my state flower, the apple blossom. (Maybe I should have used an apple stamp instead...hmmm). Anyway, I came up with a flower the same color as an apple blossom. You can see it here.
Very cool map you showed us! I wish I had a orange blossom stamp.
How ever the next best thing is new rubber - right?! Agapanthus on paint chips thanks to Home Depot and Martha!
