Hi! My name is Alison but everyone calls me Alz. I live in Melbourne, Australia, with my husband and 16 year old furry, four-legged 'teenager' (Max who is a border collie cross). I've been paper crafting for over 11 years. Almost five of them have been primarily spent on scrapbooking however my bestie has recently become a SU! demonstrator and so as you can imagine I'm making more cards than layouts at the moment!! I have found myself coming here almost daily to view the beautiful artworks in the gallery and figured that if I'm coming here daily I might as well join. So here I am. I really look forward to meeting new people, making friends, being inspired and perhaps inspiring others, and most importantly, sharing my passion for all things paper related. Cheers ... Alz
Hi Alz from another 'down underer'. I warmly welcome you from New Zealand. I love Melbourne, it is my favourite Aussie city. Nothin' says lovin' like a bestie SU demo!! You are lucky to have such inspiration close at hand. I'm glad you are enjoying this forum. It is very inspiring and helpful. Feel free to ask anything you want.
Stephanie

Thanks for the warm welcome! Great to hear there are other 'Down Underers' here (LOL at that term Stephanie!). I'm feeling a little like I've jumped in at the deep end without any floaties but heh I'm used to forums so I guess it will just be a matter of learning my way around this one. The gallery ... well LOL that will be another matter. I received a fantastic email from admin with lots of handy hints etc so I think I'll sit back, feel my way around, and take it easy. Cheers ... Alz
Hiya Alz,
I'm from the Gold Coast and have just joined SCS. My name is Elaine but known as eels by my friends. Originally from Melb we moved to Queensland in 1996 and loving the climate although our two daughters still live down south.
I've been crafting for a few years now after tiring of gardening, my favourite pastime is cardmaking but anything to do with papercraft is a 'goer'.
So, welcome, hope to see some of your stuff? Like you I'll be feeling my way around this site for a little while until I get the hang of it.
Hi Alz welcome from Perth hope you enjoy it and remember if you end up with more cards than you know what to do with why not join RAK or BRAK it's a fun way to share your work you can find heaps of info about it on the sites.
Michelle
I'm just south of you - in chilly Hobart... There are quite a few of us 'down-unders'.... Where abouts in Melbourne are you? - I am originally from Werribee and often pop over to visit family in Bacchus Marsh...
Hi Alz. Welcome to SCS. My family and I live about 20 mins from Adelaide but are originally from Scotland. We were in Melbourne recently and had a great time. You will love the site, everyone is so friendly and helpful. Looking forward to seeing your work.

Welcome to SCS. Beware, this site is addictive, but oh so fun and friendly and helpful. Word of warning though - watch out for those 'enablers' they make your cash fly away!! LOL
Hi there, Raine here from Toukley near Newcastle NSW. Been a su demonstrator for just 2 months and have only just joined this site. I love all the inspirational ideas, I lived in Eltham for a few months, had every season in one day there, Loved Lygon Street and the markets. Love to hear from the US members, have visited your country 3 times and LOVE IT!!!! Spent wonderful days in the snow, a thing us Aussies miss out on, unless we go to the snowfields. To all in England I was born in Yardley Wood, Birmingham. So really appreciate hearing from you as well. It's nice to know we all have something in common with our love of stamping. I am married with 5 kids and soon to be 10 grandkids, but still young at heart. Love music, from metalica to classical. Love all crafts, designing quilts and folk art and of course papercrafts. So thanks for all who have welcomed me and I would love to hear from you all. Oh I have also lived in New Zealand, Tonga, and Samoa. Just in case you want to chat as well. RAINE
