I substituted some items and when I got done & tried to save it to continue, it gave me this error message: New substitution item specified does not exist in the current substitution item list.
I didn't pick anything that cost more. It doesn't tell me which one is the problem. Help!
I wonder if it might be because you subbed cling for wood, or wood for cling, even though the price might be the same or less.... because I was wondering IF you could do that.... ??

I'm not sure why it didn't work, but they were only closed for yesterday. You can also call after work since they have evening hours - I think until 11pm EST.
There is a glitch on the site. It happened to me last month when I signed up as a demo and I called to report it and put my order through. They said it had to do with older browsers, and I was running IE 6.0, but someone else had the problem with 7.0. So not sure if it is an IE problem. It looks like they didn't fix it yet.
Call SU and she can take your order over the phone and substitute the items you need. It only took her a few minutes to do for me.
I called on my lunch break (couldn't wait until this evening...lol) and she got my order thru. There were a couple of items that it wouldn't let me substitute even though when I used the online form it had spaces to put the sub number in. Anyway, I got it take care of. Now to wait on my goodies and learn about being a demo. ;)

Yes, you can choose between the cling or the wood as long as the price is the same or less than the original kit choice.Lisa, I'm glad you got it worked out. Enjoy your new goodies and being a demo!
Thanks gals! I have so many questions. I can't wait to get my stuff in. How long does it usually take? At first I just wanted to sign up so I could get some goodies myself. Then when I realized there aren't any other demos in our area I thought maybe I could actually make some money at it. I'm nervous about having workshops because I still consider myself a beginner in papercrafting. We'll see where it goes though. I know it'll be fun.
So when I do have workshops, I'm assuming I can only use SU products/tools. Like I already have a cuttlebug, in order to use the SU embossing folders I have would I have to get a Bigshot? Also, with the $300 sales you have to keep up, is that going by the price in the book or what you actually turn in (minus your 20%). I know I'll have more questions too...lol.
Congrats on signing up, Lisa! You're going to love it! Hopefully since you're the only demo in your area you will get off to a great start.
When you have a workshop you can only use SU! products, so yes, you'd need to use the Big Shot to use the embossing folders at an event. The $300 is before your instant income.

Don't forget to sign up for the demo side when you get your number! You'll get a lot of invaluable info from there. Good luck and don't sweat it! Everyone starts out from somewhere, right?

Make sure to call or email your upline (the person you signed up under). They can help answer all your questions (i.e. extra discount on first order, different types of orders, how to enter an order, etc......). Of course, we're always here for you too, but it's really important to build that initial relationship with your upline.
Welcome Lisa! Definitely sign up for the Demo side of SCS....lots of great info. Keep in touch with your upline too, she can help answer the basics. Enjoy creating!
Welcome, Lisa! You will have SO much fun as a demo, helping other people learn to love stamping! I also agree with the value of the SCS demo forums--so helpful and encouraging. The SCS home page tells how to sign up for that. Best wishes!
