I changed my avatar yesterday, and it shows the new one in the forums, but not in any of my gallery posts. I have cleared my cache, cookies, browsing history, logged off and back on to SCS, etc and still isn't right. What do I need to do?
Last time I changed my avatar it did the same thing, but it took only a few hours for the right one to show up in the galleries, and I didn't need to try to fix it. Not happening this time.
Tried again. Cleared cache, cookies, history. Logged out and back in. Shut down computer and restarted. Logged out and in again.
Still seeing the older avatar in the gallery.
I have windows 7 and IE8. I suppose I'll just look at the old picture of me in the gallery!

Can you link me to a post where you're seeing the old one?
It appears that others see my new avatar in my gallery as well as in the forums...differently than the way that I see it. That seems to say that it is my computer, right??
Okay. We are not gaslighting you I promise. But I see the exact same avatar I see here...

That's why I can't understand why my stupid new computer is keeping the old one...and just in the gallery!
PS I hate computers! No...correction. I hate Microsoft!
I just tried my Safari...it shows the new avatar in the gallery. THE PROBLEM IS IN INTERNET EXPLORER! {yells and stamps feet and goes aaaaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhh!!!!} I wish that when I had an emergency computer replacement 3 weeks ago that I could have had XP and IE7 put on it. I didn't have as many troubles in 3-1/2 years with the old one as I have had the past 2-1/2 weeks with this one.
Maybe one of the computer gurus somewhere there knows how to get IE8 to cooperate!
I know how to make explorer work! Switch to Firefox!!

One other weird thing I notice in the gallery is that the invisible mode doesn't seem to work there. Like I am in invisible mode, but if you look at a comment I made in the gallery (it's been awhile) it shows that I am on. It's been that way as long as I recall though.
Try it now. Go comment on my cards and I'll see if I see you online :lol:

I can see other people as "on" that show "off" over here. So now you know how to really know if someone is on or not. Ha ha.

I particularly prefer Safari. I have it on here and I know that I can use it. Funny thing...I had my techie friend set my computer up and when I told him I wanted him to install iTunes and QuickTime and Safari...he asked if I really wanted Safari since I had IE. I said YES!!! He just doesn't get it. If I could have bought a Mac three weeks ago I would have! My DH would have been lost, however. I have to break him in slowly!
I have tried the forced reload, going to IE properties and changing a few that I knew what they do...still nothing. I'll just wait and see what happens in a couple of weeks. Maybe IE will discover it's commands and decide to follow them! HA!
In the meantime I will use Safari! That'll teach it!
