Hello everyone!
Now that we fixed the search in Favorites, we are working on other priorities on the site. One request I wanted to update you on a feature that hasn't been working for quite some time, and that's the ability to download favorites into a zip file. This was broken for users with large numbers of favorites prior to our move to Internet brands, and was working selectively for some users with a small number of favorites.
To make a long story short, there's a reason it was broken. It's a horrible drain on server resources, especially if a user has a large number of favorites. One person zipping a favorites file could affect the performance of our site for all users, and that is not something we (or you) want. Also, people have expressed concern about other people downloading their content in bulk.
For these reasons, this is not a request we are going to keep open.
HOWEVER
We do want to make some changes to Favorites to make them easier to use for the purposes we all use them for - prepping for classes, cranking out that last minute card, reviving our tired mojo, etc.
For me, and for those of you who have posted here, the most wanted feature in Favorites is some sort of classification - folders or lists where you could tag your faves by theme or stamp set or color, etc. and not have to sift through all of them for that one card you remember saving.
Keyword searching is not as effective as an organizational system would be.
So my question to you is, what would you like that system to look like? Folders, lists, custom tags? If we can all agree on some basic features you'd like, then we can get specs on developing a change and get a timeline for it.
So, please post with your ideas, and TIA for your input!
