Nor-Cal Paper Crafters Shoebox Swap

When: August 14th
Time: 10am-4pm (may end earlier depending on the number of participants)
Where: Citrus Heights
Cost: $10 (Please mail payment to Julie-Please PM for address)
Please submit payment within one (1) week of sign up
Available spots: 15

** Note: We will still have the swap even if only a few people have signed up by the cut-off date.**

The theme is Holiday Celebrations (Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas). Please only good quality and any stamp company is fine.

Each person attending will bring a sample of a completed card and kits of the sample to complete. Each kit should be in some type of baggie, and pre-cut, pre-stamped, ribbon cut, etc. The baggies should be placed in a shoebox or basket to be brought to the swap.

The number of kits to bring will be determined after the close of the sign up period.

Each person should bring their own basic tool kit which will include: scissors, bone folder, adhesive, glue dots, pop dots or foam tape. May include any other tool that might be needed or useful. If a particular tool is needed for card, please indicate when signing up.

Swap will begin promptly at 10AM and conclude at 4PM or as soon as all cards are completed.

We will break for a potluck lunch. There will be a separate sign up for the potluck. The hostess will provide all paper products and drinks.

Cut off date for sign up will be August 1st. The hostess will then post as to how many card kits will have to be made.

Should there be a need to cancel, please inform hostess with an email no later than 20th August 1st and a refund of $5 will be made. There will be NO refunds after that date.

Well I know a few of us are off to Convention tomorrow....WOOOOOHOOOO!!!! Can you tell I'm a LITTLE excited..it's my FIRST Convention.

I'll try to bump the thread when I'm available, otherwise if you wonderful ladies would be so kind to help a stampin sistah out, that would be GREAT!!!

I've added Karen and Rhonda to our list. I had a great time at Convention and already planning on next years. For a Business Demonstrator, it puts alot of things into perspective and I'm learning what I need to do in order to get where I want to be.

Alex was a GREAT travel buddie and kept both of us awake for the long drive.

Yes we drove to SLC. It went pretty quickly for me...I hope it did for Alex to lol. No, unfortunately I need to attend the training that the school district is putting on. I'm already working on the October date

Hi Ladies,

We've had a change of plans for our Shoebox Swap. Unfortunately our hostess has a birthday party for her niece and rather then cancelling the event, we have made some changes. With the changes, I hope that all of you that are planning on attending, will still attend. If you have not sent Julie your $, please do so, so that she can purchase the door prizes.

Now...for the changes
The Shoebox Swap will be from 11-3 at Round Table Pizza at Hazel and Madison. Since we can't bring our own food in, if you want to eat, you can purchase pizza and/or salad. So there will be no potluck.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask either myself or Betty.

Now...if this venue works out for everyone on the 14th, then we will hold our future shoebox swaps there. This way, the hostess doesn't have to clean or prepare their home for people to come in.

I might also add...my oldest step-daughter has her girls' birthday parties here at this Round Table. They have an enclosed room which has floor to ceiling glass around it which looks into the restaurant. It has not been a problem when we've been there. There is lots of room to spread out.
