You're welcome! I knew people would want that link. From what I read, it only holds the 1/4" tape, so maybe that is the reason why it is cheaper. And this could just be an introductory price... might go up after the preorder. But, I'm only guessing.
I went ahead and ordered one for me and one for my mom. The shipping to Canada was decent and even with any possible taxes and duty, it will be cheaper than I can get it locally. Now I have to be very patient in waiting for it :-)
I did see that, but I'm OK with that. I do wonder though why they wouldn't give it a different model number though. Either way, I'm OK. Thanks for the heads up.
StampingScrapping.com has it on pre-order for $24.99. I have ordered from them before, they have free shipping over $50 and their customer service is very good.
When I pre-ordered, it say they were to ship on July 5 so I hope today is the day! I do see that if you "add to cart" now for it, that it says it is estimated to be in stock until July 19. I hope that isn't the case for those that pre-ordered when it said July 5. I'm trying to patiently wait, but I'm having a hard time with the "patient" part of that equation LOL. Here's to hoping it ships today!!!
I bought this set from the Tape Depot on ebay. The gun and 12 rolls of tape for $51 total (that includes shipping). It works perfectly for me and is much less expensive than the glue glider pro.
Oh no! I was so hoping to have it soon. Well, I guess since it took me this long to bite the bullet and buy one, I can have a bit more patience
Just wanted to share the good news: Michael's now has the pink ATG Guns in stock!!! They are selling them for $34.99 and I was able to get one with a 50% off coupon (last week/Friday). So for $17.50, I got the gun and 2 rolls of tape...can't beat that.
You might have to be patient, though. The Michael's I went to in L.A. only had two (& my sister-in-law and I scooped them up)!

I wonder how long it will take for my Michaels to get them in - it took months before we saw any MS Scoring Boards! Has anyone else seen the ATG guns? Also, which section do you find them in? Are they by stamping/scrapbooking or are they over near paint with adhesives?? This is great news about being able to get one with the coupon!
That's funny, Lynne!!! I said the same thing: it reminds me of the MS Scoring Boards. I'm pretty sure that the two Pink ATG Guns we bought were the only two they got in (because the cashier said they just got them). It seems like they are just going to trickle in until months later when they're finally sitting on the shelves (I saw a whole tall display of the MS Score Boards, finally)!
The Pink ATG Gun was on the end cap (close to the entrance) and it was on its own cardboard display (I assume by Scotch 3M?) housing the two guns and tape refills (I didn't think to take a picture! Darn!). It was a row before the paper started (but I think it had cake decorating items in the row, not scrapbooking matierials). I'm sure every store is different (just depends where they have room)!
I think I saw this same thing at AC Moore (in the actual store) a few weeks ago. Does that sound right? It was pink, and the price was in the $30s somewhere. I almost bought it, but I wasn't sure if it would fit well in my small hands.
Does anyone have thoughts on the "bigness" of it? Is it too unweildy if you're not used to ATG to begin with?
just saw it in my michaels in socal - i was shocked and came on here to hear if anyone else had seen it! it was definitely in the 30's price range - maybe even 39??? but with a 40%off coupon that wouldn't be bad! i think it included two refills. i bought one refill at 5.99 with a coupon making it 3.60. the acid-free refills were 9.99. i need to go search up what i usually pay for my refills online - i'm not sure how that price compares.
as to the size - it took me only a little while to get used to the size after using a regular small tape runner for years. it just sticks SOOOOO much better it isn't even a comparison. it doesn't take long to get used to.
my fun tip - use some rubons to decorate it! i had fun making mine look "pretty"!

My husband delivered my haul to my craft room & I'm still out of town, so I can't check my receipt. But I'm pretty sure it was $34.99 at the Michael's in L.A., so I paid $17.50 with my 50% off coupon! Maybe it was $30 & it came to $17 with tax (after coupon)? Sorry! I don't remember! I just know I was excited because I almost paid $30, plus shipping for one at Custom Crops.
My right hand is not very large - approx 7 3/4 from tip of my thumb to tip of pinky finger. Have been using the 3M 714 for 3+ yrs and have no problem. I know when I first started papercrafting I took a class, we used this ATG and I thought, 'No way am I every going to be able to use this thing!' After spending $$$ on those little adhesive dispensers, I broke down and bought my own ATG. It is sooo much more economical. I use it on everything except an item that I need EXTRA stickum - boxes, other 3D items or moveable parts. I only use the little dispensers when I go to a workshop/class because the ATG is bulky to transport and there is no cap to cover the opening where to tape comes out. Also, don't want to drop it because it was a more pricey crafting tool. I painted my red ATG a celery green and put glittery flower stickers on.

I just had an update from Custom Crops that the guns will not be available until August. To quote from the email:
"This is another quick note to update you on the status of your Pink ATG Adhesive Gun and/or Adhesive Refills.
Much to our dismay, 3M, the manufacturer, cannot deliver this product as promised, in July. Evidently, there has been a manufacturing issue with the tape rolls nationwide. They are telling us to expect these by August 9. Please stand by for additional emails regarding the shipping date. We will continue to do our very best to keep you informed and to deliver this exciting product to you as quickly as possible. I am sure you understand that we are at the mercy of the manufacturer as to when we receive pre-ordered items.
Additionally, as noted before, if you placed your order after July 1st, the shipping date will be closer to mid August, approximately 2 weeks after the first shipment arrives."
Interesting ... I wonder if they'll recall the ones they already have in Michaels and AC Moore. Or maybe they just had quality issues with a second batch??
They are bundling it with that new "Advantage" acid free tape that comes in a two-pack, geared towards crafters I guess. Our standby 3M Gold tape or Tape Depot should still work. I just want a gun!!!
I'm so excited. Got a notice that my guns have finally shipped from Custom Crops. Now to wait patiently while they make their way out of the USA and into Canada to my door.
