Default Question about the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge

I really want the Create a Critter cartridge for all the adorable animals and for the phrase shape that comes with the raccoon. It is similar to the Labels 1 shape of Nesties. But the one on the cartridge looks more rectangular, is that correct? I really want it, but want it in square shape more than rectangular.

Can anyone tell me if it is truely recutangular?

Thanks.

Trish.....If you're going to be cutting just directly using the cartridge, yes, as the handbook shows it is rectangular. But if you use the Design Studio you can shape it how ever you want by choosing exactly the size you want.

Okay, thanks. Now I have a question about Design Studio, that will only work with the cartridges you own? Can you cut anything else that is on the computer?

I know there are other programs out there that let you cut anything, just wondering about Design Studio.

You're right, Trish. You can cut using only the cartridges you own with DS.

I just started using my create a critter cartridge yesterday (bought it 2 months ago) and it's way more adorable than you can tell from looking at the box...lots of accessories and additional things that you can cut...it also does a better job with the layering aspect of creating a multi-colour die cut...no more printing 3 of the same thing and snipping off the pieces you want to layer. I'm very impressed with this cartridge!
