It is time for another fun color combo challenge with dessert option. This week the dessert option is for Cards for a Cause! The Teapotters are sending cards and I hope some of us decide to send cards to Mark, too. More information about this in the dessert option area. As for the colors this week, while my color choices may not be the more obvious ones, I think you will enjoy working with these. Together they sort of sound like a light, refreshing carbonated drink. I think they can be used from manly themed cards to flowers! You can play as many times as you like! Enjoy!

Wild Wasabi
(kelly green)
Cherry Cobbler
(deep red)
Marina Mist
(medium denim blue)
Neutrals(ivory, white, black)
This week's dessert option: Cards for a Cause! Boy Themed Cards! Read about Cards for Mark and his story and where to mail the cards here.
I asked Faith and Nancy to sample with me this week! Thanks so much, girls!
Please keep in mind, too, that while we list SU colors for the challenges these are just color reference points. Use the closest colors you have. We want everyone to be able to play!!!
Please put CC279 in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card! If you need help uploading click here!
I will be hosting the color challenges for the next few weeks. If there is a color combo you want to see using any of the new in colors, please pm me with the link to the card. Try to stay within three color choices. Thanks so much!
Cool color combo Betty! If we don't have Marina Mist or Cherry Cobbler yet - any suggestions for substitutions? It is going to be a while until I save up enough to afford the new colors... :(
Location: My very hot stamp room, in Phoenix! It's a dry heat.

Ooooo, I love the new colors, unfortunately I don't have them. I'll have to see if I can come up with some substitutes. As the painter says in Mr. Blanding Builds His Dream House (great movie, btw) the colors are red, blue and green. lol

Oh I LOVE that movie!!
"How is that well coming?
Not good - there's a ledge. we have to drill.
What's a ledge? Is it a boulder?
No, it's like a big big rock, only bigger?
Like a boulder?
NO! Like a LEDGE!"
I edited the post with some generic color options. If you have PTI new leaf it is almost an exact match(to me) for SU wild wasabi. The cherry cobbler is a deep blue red. Real Red is brighter. The marina mist is like a medium denim blue in color to me. HTH! However, there REALLY are NO challenge police!;)

LOL@'Challenge Police" - you are so funny Betty!
I think I will use Brocade Blue and Riding Hood Red or some Cranberry Crisp if I can find some. I have the perfect set picked out for the little boy, just have to decide on a layout...
Thank you so much for mentioning our Nephew Mark and encouraging others to send him a smile...Its so exciting to see all the wonderful people here getting involved! We are in awe of this as well as everyone in Marks family! Blessing to you all!

Thanks, Betty! I'll get a card out to Mark in the morning. Probably not this one, it is a little too girly. Thanks for taking up this great and worthy cause.

These are fabulous colors to work with - glad for the reassurance that there are no challenge police since I'm the type of person who feels guilty for no reason when I spot a police vehicle!! I hope that Mark will enjoy receiving a card from overseas, it's sent with a prayer! Get Whale Soon! by bfinlay at Splitcoaststampers
I just wanted to say a special thank you for your support of Cards for Mark!!! I am excited to see the colours. They sure do match up for a masculine type card.
