I think it is sad. I can't find one thing I would truly desire.
I did buy 2 old, old sets this week here and that made me happy. I mean like 8 years ago...they should look at some of he old sets that need to be revived.
I love the majority of this catalog and there are entire pages I want. One thing I have always loved about SU, the matchy matchy thing. My favorite set is Greeting Card Kids, so adorable.

First off I love your Blog....The Mammogram photo is AWESOME...I just shared it with my friend who just had one....
And Second. I too like the older stamp sets. And still have some of them.
But we still need something new.
I love the Matching Papers, Copic's, and Ribbon's will be carrying.
singularly UNimpressed overall. only a couple of new sets that I MIGHT want but nothing I MUST have.
none of the new In Colors excite me at all, not uber excited about any of the new core colors whatsoever and the returning colors I either hated the first go round or still have some left over from when I stocked up when they were discontinued.
Love the fact that they stepped up their samples. But, sadly, there is only one wheel that I will get for sure and I have two stamp sets that are maybe's, but not MUST haves. Have a couple of DP's that caught my eye, but again, not must haves. A few accessories.
I used to be a demo but bought only what I liked (or thought I would, hehe). I'm so glad that I'm not trying to find something to sell from this catty!!
I got my new catalog but I have not had time to look through all of it. My Demo had an open house tonight and I saw the new colors. I love the Pear Pizzazz and the Cherry Cobbler colors and the Jolly Holiday DP.
There are also a couple of great new embossing folders
Poppy Parade is on my "think about it" list
The only purple is Concord Crush and it is a very dark purple to the blue side. It will look great with Pear Pizzazz, Orchid Opulence or Lovely Lilac
Cajun Craze (Rust) Tangerine Tango ( sort of orange) Baja Breeze ( blue/ turquoise) Wild Wasabi ( avocado) and Early Expresso ( dark brown) remind me of the 70's colors. I didn't like them in the 70's and I still don't like them .
My Demo gave each of us an 2" by 5" swatch of each color available including those that will still be available such as Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo . She printed the color names on each sample so we can get used to the new color choices.
I have not had time to look at most of the new stamp sets or other items .
I better find myself a job. I have 65 stamp sets on my wish list as well as practically all the DP and all the new colors, ink and paper. I love the catalog a lot this year.
Love it. I'm a punch junkie and I love new owl punch. The new papers are definitely fresh and wonderful. I'm glad SU responded to how some of the older In Color colors sold and added them to the color families like Wild Wasabi and Pink Piroruette which were 2 of my favs.
I'm madly in love with the new Owl Punch - that's going on my first order and will probably be on back order ;) I purchased Awash with Flowers when we had the chance - but really there aren't too many new sets that I want - at least until I see some samples made with them from all the talent here. I love the new skinny ribbon and most of the new colors so I'll probably focus on getting new accessories and basic supplies and just use the stamps I have for now.
I love this catalogue.....For me it's the best in 10 years, a lot of variety and not so many cutesy or flowers....love the D.P. still not a big fan of the new colors but I have my retired ones still....especially the mauves...... I love the Owl punch too and the ribbons although we need more variety of colors in them too.

LOVE it! My list is WAYYYYY too long. I want all the colors, DP, and ribbon, ribbon, ribbon. I have at least 5 stamp sets on my list. Love the textured embossing plates and embellishments. I just need to have a rich relative to leave me a bundle of cash!

I'm in love with the new sets...I love the coffee/tea set, the knitting set, the bunny blowing hearts bubbles, one of the new sentiments, Awash With Flowers etc. etc, etc.!!!!!! LOVIN' LOTS!!!!
I love the new in-colors. I wasn't feeling the love last year in regard to the in-colors. I'm just so happy with the new colors. Those cool ribbons with the white edge that are in the in-colors are beautiful!
I'm VERY happy with the new catalog.
Also, many times I'm not a big fan of SU's dp but this year is ROCKS!!

Not enough new sets, too much of my favorite ribbon type is no longer available in colors I want. I like the overall layout and design of the catalog itself and I usually like the samples, but as far as them getting much of any money from me - not going to happen. I just dropped a good amount at Stamping Bella and soon at PTI because they do have stamp styles that I don't have in my collection. Too much of SU's stuff is like what I already have from them with my older sets or like what I purchased from other companies because SU didn't have it when I needed/wanted it. Just not enough new stuff with this catalog.
I didn't see one stamp set that I really liked enough to buy. I am going to buy their acrylic blocks and the storage case and there are some sizzlits and an embossing folder that I want, but overall, that is about it. I probably won't invest in the new colors, even though I like some of them. I'm still a bit peeved that they aren't offering a new color kit in the stampin spots, so if I can't have the matching ink in the form I prefer, I'm not all that likely to buy the matching card stock.
Only one stamp set that I want(butterflies that go with the punch)...and to me many of the pages were very cluttered and hard to look at...some of the page layouts were that clean look that we are used to from SU! but alot seemed very busy and distracting. That is just how I see it--others may not have that same thought. I do like the new colors of cardstock...those are yummy!
im probably a bit biased since im a demo, but i love the new colors. cherry cobbler is so rich in person, and marina mist is beautiful. i love the new papers, and the new "nursery suite" stuff (papers, die cuts, ect.) i still havent scrapped my new baby girls first photos so this will be perfect! at first i was sad that the ribbon didnt come in choc. chip anymore, but i really like the "early espresso" now that i have a roll to see, and i can tell i will be using this color alot!
i too wish that we could get a stampin spot set of just new colors (we can for pastels, markers, watercolor crayons). maybe they will add this if they get enough requests. or a blank spot that we could use reinkers to make our own. i always get the reinkers anyway.

Love the Make a Monster set. Am gonna order that today!
I also love the new pear color, but then I always like greens ;)
The new DSP's look great and of course I am ALWAYS on board for new ribbons!
But I'm most pleased about the rhinestones and pearls, yay finally!
That said - I only got to see the catty online (my demo can't get it to me for about a month but she's a dear friend and on vaca so thats ok). I liked it. I like the new format for finding coordinating products.
I found more than enough to buy that will eat up my stampin budget. I'm sure as I go through it again (and again) and see stuff made that I'll find more I want - but there was plenty for me to get.
In a way - yes my list was not quite as long as some years ago but I think thats for a couple of reasons.
1. I've been at this a while now and have fine tuned what I like and what I'll use - I'm not as likely to put on my list something that I think is pretty but won't use more than once.
2. I do have a bunch of stamps already so I'm less likely to buy something if I have something simlar (whether SU or not SU)
3. I have less dollars to spend on supplies with the current economy so I've been really selective in what I am "wanting"

I'm not a demo, but I did see where one had posted that she thought there would be a lot more seasonal stamps in the mini. Hope you find something you're looking for!
online at the catty....and while there were a number of stamps sets I wanted....half of them were not available as "clear mount," and I won't pay for something I won't use. Bottom line: Some very nice stamp sets, clear mount sets are reasonably priced, but there are not enough of them (in my opinion).
I really like all the big shot stuff: box templates and so on, however if you add up the cost of the machine, extra platforms and then the die cuts...wow....cost is WAY up there.
Still love the matching inks and papers though, and am very likely to buy the color coach tool.
I do think that SU needs to branch out with their designs, too many of them are copies of hero arts and other stamps. I love magnolia stamps, cc designs, and wish that su would try to come up with images that would appeal to those of us who like that type of an image.
I will more then likely get some paper, a few ink pads, reinkers and a few stamp sets (clear mount only), as well as some of the new storage containers which are a GREAT price for the clear mount stamps.

I too wish more sets were clear mounted ones...even make some of the OLD sets clear...I won't buy wood mounted...so there were only 2 that I even noted as wanting...
I will buy each color group...but hate that there is now only 2 sheets of CS for each color. Is there now more colors in each grouping? Hence 1 less sheet?
And when trying to order online...for some reason--and maybe I'm just missing where to click--but to order INDIVIDUAL ink pads, I have to enter their stock number from the catty. Clicking on the ink pads link, just takes you to where you can buy the whole set for each color grouping...
Is it like this for everyone?
