Ive been MIA for the last week. Lots of drama going on in our household and weve finally gotten a handle on it. I feel like a weight has been lifted!
I want to thank everyone for their positive responses to my post last week. I have received a few new ideas that I think you all will enjoy. Quite frankly, I was starting to look at the TLC as more of a job than an adventure, but I have a refreshed view now! Its kinda like the old saying If you dont like the weather, wait five minutes, and it will change.
~ Magical Marquee Card ~
I received a heads up from Wendy W (Wendybell) a bit back that directed me to this cool card she had seen on JanTinks Stamp Paper Scissors blog (<--- click for tutorial). This is a fun one! Jan has a video tutorial on her blog to help you figure things out. I will add that she used Stampin Up punches for her project, but I used Nestabilities. Its a little more work to use the nesties as you have to do a bit of measuring to make sure everything lines up, but dont be afraid! I found it helpful to have several sticky notes handy to hold things in place while I uhhhhhhhhcan I say tinkered? Pun intended!
Whenever drama was going on in our house it always involved the kids so I do hope everything is OK. Just to let you know you are truly appreciated by us ( techies ). I checked out the link and I'm going to give it my best but I don't have any punches like those shown so if I don't upload something it won't be for lack of trying. Elizabeth
WHOA...This was totally new to me...and I decided to use SPELLBINDERS for mine...This was not easy. However, I was a bit slap happy when the creation time went OVER an hour.LOL
I remember seeing MariLynn making a few of these a while back and meaning to try them. Looks like today's the day to get round to actually doing and not just intending. I'll have to get through work and housework first, but I'll be along later.
Oh cool ... I actually have made a few of those in the past week which I was going to use on my blog next week.... I will have to rearrange what I am posting so I can use one this week yahhhhhhhhhhhhh!
What a cool technique, Holly! I'm going to give it a try when I get home from work. I think it's going to take somewhat longer than the time I have before work. Hope all is well at your house!
For some reason, the video does not come up for me. Jan's blog does, but there's a big blank where the video should be. I tried Explorer and Firefox, so I guess I'll have to pass, but it looks so interesting - thanks, Holly - hope all is well now. Hugs.

A fun ...and REAL...challenge today, Holly. It took me a while to make this one, but it would be somethiong great for a special friend or family member. Thanks! Jan's tutorial was a great help!
This is definitely going to be a challenge for me as I have a hard time stamping straight with a Stamp-a-ma-jig. What I see & what actually is don't always line up. LOL Well off to my craft room to give it a try. Hugs, Trish
Worked on it for a couple of hours last night before having to put down to clear my head ... Definitely a challenge, but I love the result. Going to try to make another a bit more jazzed up.

Thanks Holly, Jan and Wendy for sharing this great technique. I LOVE it! It took a long time to make. This will be a special card to give to a family member or close friend (or sell for $50! ha, just kidding!)
Thank you Holly, this was a fun challenge. It did make me work on it more, but I am quite happy with the outcome. Thanks for hosting, really do enjoy these kind of challenges.

Whew, Mission accomplished! Here is my Marquee card both inside & out. I used the color combo from Tuesday's color challenge just to challenge myself even more. LOL Hugs, Trish
