Hi, I don't know if this is the way its done, but its the way I'm doing it. I'm confused about how to post. I figured out how to "reply", but didn't want to introduce myself under someone else's intro. In any case, today is a day of learning for me as I started a blog and joined here. This is the first time I have been in a forum in years and it has changed to some degree. I have also never posted anything but a reply to someone else. Anyway, I am posting this and am wondering if my post will get moved, or even if I will be able to find it again. Let the test run begin.....
Well done!! I remember being nervous with my first post here which was my first forum as well. Anyway a warm welcome from New Zealand, and I hope you do heaps more posts!
Stephanie

Welcome to SCS! You're already doing better than I did when I first joined. I was so nervous about doing something wrong, but you've jumped in with both feet and have done well. You will love the community here. Looking forward to seeing your work!
Thank you all for the warm welcome. I'm not sure if I am to reply to each individual that responded to me or if this is an ok way to say "Thank You". I went to all your blogs and thoroughly enjoyed reading and looking at your wonderful art work. Hopefully I will have my blog up and running by the end of the week. I have a lot of learning via trial & error to do and am still in "test run" mode. Thank you again for the warm welcome
It is fine to thank people this way, and lovely to hear back from you! Do ask if you have any other questions - we are all very happy to help. We were all new once!

I am posting my new blog's addy. I don't know how to make a signature so that I don't have to type in the address every time I post. :o I think I figured out how to make the link tho, but won't know if it works till after I post. :o
:OK, I see I'm the only one that has my URL address showing. How does one do the "My Blog" thing with the address hidden under it? By the time I get all of this figured out my hair is going to be totally gray.
There's a good tutorial with pictures in the Help section HERE
Thank you Sabrina and Diane. The second link worked, looks simple enough. Just one more step than what I did where I posted my link. I will do my link this afternoon when I have more time. Thank you again Ladies
Thank you everyone who has helped me. I still need to put my picture up and post to the gallery, but that will come a little later when I have a picture and something to upload. Like the baby birds out side my window, I think I'm about ready to fly. Now off to my room to make some cards. Thanks again everyone.

Joyce, I was hoping that one of the helpful people on this thread was going to answer that, as I have been here a short while and am now wondering the same thing.
hi, and welcome from Brooklyn, NYC. You've figured out a LOT more than I did when I first got here. It took me days to figure out how to post anything...
I used the link that pinkberry supplied earlier, and I found how to post the picture on this page: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks for the link jardin434. I checked it out and it looks easy enough. I have uploaded a card to my gallery, and it was pretty easy.. Now I need to find a pix.

I uploaded a picture to my profile, so this is a test post to see if it shows up in the column with my name. The picture was taken in my yard, by my daughter with her cell phone.
Ok, how do you get the profile pix over there in the column on the left that has my name and my join date in it? Back to the drawing board

Thank you so much Lydia, I really appreciate your quick response. I will work on my Avatar today.
I love your blog, just can't figure out how to be a "follower" on it. And I just figured out how to leave my name on a comment when I find a comment line. I am enjoying this blogging, but still so much to learn.

I blocked a blogger on my blog. Did I do wrong? From info gathered, he didn't appear to be interested in card making/scrapbooking but in freeing Tibet. I don't understand, but it scares me. I removed my specific personal info. oh oh I just realized, he's going to get that info.

:oops:I decided to go check out my mysterious blogger. I looked at some of the sites he follows and then unblocked him. I'm still a bit wary, but.. I can't panic everytime a mysterious person visits my blog. This person visits some very interesting blogs.

I wouldn't be scared. Most people are harmless. Even the spammers. I wouldn't worry about it unless he leaves a spammy comment. When you block someone, sometimes their privileges get suspended, so you should only do that if you're sure they're really bad

Thank you, makes me feel a little better. I did unblock right after I posted.

I seem to get answers when I come here, so I'mm baaaack.
I notice that most of the blogs require some sort of ID to leave a comment, some require you copy some letters and some require the owner to check the comment before it posts. How does one do any or all of the above?
Of course I will continue looking for the answer myself, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

I cannot speak to all of your examples, but whenever a blog requires us to copy some letters, simply keyboard those same letters into the empty text box provided. This is simply a form of "spam" protection for the blog. It has "nothing" to do with you, the poster. ;)
I'm back with a question. I see a "watermark" on the pictures you ladies post. I don't know what to call it other than "watermark". It is your name, etc over the picture. How do I put that on mine?
