Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for the Week Ending May 30, 2010
Welcome to the Clean and Simple Favorites of the Week Thread! EVERYONE is invited to participate by posting links to their favorite CAS cards from last week's gallery posts and/or by leaving some comments on the cards posted here. It was a slow comment week in the gallery, especially for cards that were not for challenges, and we can really lift someone's spirits by leaving a little love!
I'll get us started....
ravengirl posted a flocked florals card that is so soft and pretty
Kim66 made a butterfly grid that is simply stunning
papierbleu made a lovely watercolor card with soft colors and a serene feel
sczarnecki's fun in the sun card has a delightfully warm and wonderful background that makes me want to go tropical
cookiebaker used two white cardstock layers and a super-cool ribbon treatment for her simply wonderful card!
wiggydl captured summer on a card with her pinking sheers and some sponging...brilliant
newlystamping combined challenges and made a strikingly pretty aqua-white-black thank you card
superjen used a big calligraphic quotation and three butterflies perfectly placed on her one-layer Gentleness card
k dunbrook used a green card base on her pretty one-layer card with a fresh white sentiment
stampingout popped her blossoms perfectly on her lovely Wherever You Go card
jaydeestamping made a simply lovely pearly invitation with beachy colors and a perfect ribbon and pearl treatment
Wow! I had a huge set of favorites this week. I added lots because of the DT challenges. But I left plenty for you to list here on this thread. Show me what I missed!

I stumbled onto this thread a couple of weeks ago and now look for it everyweek. Had to abort a camping trip due to weather so thanks for helping salvage something from the weekend. Also, thanks for the inspiration you've all loaned me these past few weeks.
Thanks Susan for mentioning my Summer card - and thank you for this list every week - I am having a great time checking out all the cards I missed each week! Thanks Karen for letting me know as well!!

Thanks, Susan, for mentioning my card, and thanks Karen, for letting me know. It's a real honour to be a CAS favourite. It's really brightened up a chilly and rainy weekend.

Thanks, Nancy(Smithr66), for giving my card your special mention! I didn't even have it in the CAS classification...I better go back and change that!; ) You really made my day start off in a very special way. Thank you!
Holy cow! I'm about to pee my pants! I've been getting back into CAS recently with the CAS DT search and it really means a lot for you to choose not one, but two! of my cards! Thank you so much, Krista!!
Wow, my list is long. There's just so many excellent cards out there to love!
Holy cow, again! Three cards in one week?!? Is this what it feels like to be LateBlossom? Thank you Trish for making it a hat trick this week!
And of course thanks to Karen for letting me know, and for LateBlossom for keeping this thread running every week. I hope summer means more gallery time for me so I can start posting to this thread again!
Thanks so much to Susan/LateBlossom and Jada/hobbydiva for the mentions -- there's nothing like seeing someone else enjoy something we make, is there?
There's so much good stuff in the gallery this week, between some great challenges, the DT challenge, and VSN. I'm sure some of these are doubles, but I think they all rock:
Trish,
Thank you so much for mentioning my Octopus Card in this thread. You have made my week. Whoo Hoo. This is a 1st for me that I am aware of.
Karen, thank you for letting me know it was in here.
You ladies are the best here on SCS.
Happy Stampin'
Neva
Trish, A special thanks to you for picking my card for one of your favorites. It's always nice to get mentioned on this list with all the wonderful stampers that are on scs. It is indeed a honor!

hobbydujour did not label her sweet peas as CAS but the layout is very simple and her colouring so spectacular, I decided to list it
Susan, thank you SO much for giving my watercolored card recognition. I never thought of it as a CAS, but by your definition....I guess it applies. I have not used my watercolors in AGES......in fact, I think Veridian Green had some kind of "growth" on it! Yikes!! Your mention really means a lot to me and spurs me on! Thank you!

Great gallery, everyone. Thanks!

Trish - thank you so much for listing one of my cards! It is a card I made for the CAS DT Search and was wondering if it was good enough - so it feels special to have that one highlighted! Thanks!!

Thanks so much for putting my card on the list. This is a first for me! Thanks Trisha for letting me be a "favorite" and thanks Karen for letting me know I made the list. Definitely has made my day and has given me some confidence to share more. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Thanks, TrishG, and thanks to all who commented on my card this week! It is like opening a birthday present each & every time!!! Thanks to Karen also, for always keeping me informed!
I've been so busy catching up on last week's SCS gallery that I'm now behind on this week's. LOL!
But I want to mention challenge #4 of the DT search challenges. I am sooo blown away by the talent and creativity. And to think I almost didn't make the challenge thinking it would be too hard. Wow... I'm so glad I included it. I just want to say 2 things about it....
1) It doesn't matter which 3 of the 20 makes it to the design team this particular season, they are all deserving of the honor and fun.
2) I have no idea how I will choose 10 finalists. I'm really, really glad that I'm not choosing the final 3. LOL!
Thank you for all who have participated. You make all the time and effort worth it... seriously!
