MAY10VSNI ~ Saturday, May 29 ~ 3:00pm EST ~ Dreaming of May
Title: Dreaming of May
Hostess: Petunia
Keyword: MAY10VSNI (BE CAREFUL! This is a tricky keyword!)
Day/Date: Saturday, May 29
Time: 3:00pm EST
I love the transition between seasons. Growing up in New England I was always so amazed to see that first bit of green poking up through the snow. There was something so magical about it.
My challenge for you is to create a card that reflects the transition from winter into spring .
Your card must have one (or more ;))of the following:
**change in colors from left to right**
**change in images from left to right**
**change in texture from left to right**
AND one of the following:
**an embellishment (eyelet, button, ribbon, flower, etc.)**
**a sentiment**
**patterned paper**
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
View the Gallery for this Challenge HERE .
UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. ALL VSN CREATIONS MUST BE UPLOADED BY 10:00 PM EST ON Monday May 31st.
2. You have 45 minutes to complete the challenge.
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword, MAY10VSNI , when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure your layout is seen.
Here's a little somethin' for inspiration and my sample:
What a great challenge!
I am sitting here wishing for sunshine. It's not cold, but, it is gray and has been for days.
Who else is around this afternoon?
I don't know, it seems kind of quiet. Perhaps everyone's taking advantage of the long weekend and getting out of town.
I didn't use any green on my
Transitioning Text Boxed card , but does Taken With Teal count as a bluey-green? :P I completely forgot that bit - sorry!
There are no color restrictions - just a change in color as an option.
Your card is GORGEOUS! Thanks for playing!
Aww ty
I thought this was going to be hard until I found this set and thought it would work so well. I was going to use either Trees or Flowers for a Season, which I think would work well too.
This is a great challenge and I can't wait to get to it! I am still waiting on DH to take up his parenting duties so I can play. He just arrived home from a camping trip (soaking wet) and has to get settled and then I can play!
When I saw this challenge I immediately thought of Branch Out! (even before I saw your card)
I loved this challenge with all the different options.
For the bottom part I took it to mean ONLY one of the following options, so I used 1 button!
Changing Colors Tree
Great challenge - thanks!
Here is what I came up with. Thanks for hostessing.
Fun challenge. I was wishing I had a caterpillar for a true transition. Rats! Instead, I just stamped some butterflies that represented spring to me. Here is my card:
I think this may be out of the ordinary for this May theme, but
here is the masculine card I came up with.
