Well, from what little bit of sneak peeks us demos have seen it will be beautiful new colors and some nice ribbons too!!
I think there will be more stuff for the Big Shot too...more SU exclusive dies (would love to see more alphabets as I love the sizzix alphabets!) and more shapes, I am sure.
There will be some great new stamps, I am sure! I am positive there will be flowers flowers and more flowers since there always is, but I am also hoping for some more masculine stuff. I have a 13 y.o. son and no girls so I would love to see more interesting sports set and definitely more "technology" stamps, like a computer, a keyboard, a video game controller, guitars, drums, things like that. I think they would do well because I think there arent enough *boy stuff* in there.
I would love to see more realistic dogs and cats, too. I would love to have a real peacock stamp...realistic, big and beautiful and fun to color!
I want individual sticking rhinestones so bad I can taste it..so hopefully!! (fingers crossed!)
I definitely would like to see more masculine stamp sets. They also need sets geared towards teenaged boys and guys who don't hunt, fish, and live in the great outdoors.
I'm loving the exclusive Sizzix dies and folders and the new slimline, locking punches. I'd love to see more of those. Or better yet, the new style punch in some of the old favorites.
I'm hoping there are no new flowery or vintagey stamps. Enough's enough. Like really, am I the only one who thought that Elements of Style was just a rehash of Spring Song?
My wish list:
-Better selection of DSP-I got some retired DSP on their clearance rack recently and I like them a lot better than most of this year's lot.
-6 inch paper packs with smaller scale patterns.
-Lots more ribbon.
-Both a larger and smaller size of the Top Note die.
-More animal stamp sets, both cute and realistic.
-More birthday and sympathy sets and fewer new "friend" sets.
-new style punches in more sizes of the basic shapes like the scallop circle. And bring back the 1/4 inch circle and larger corner rounder please.

I'm hoping to see single packs of textured card stock!!!!
Also want a stamp like medallion but in kind of a fleur de lis (sp?) design...like a bigger scale from the one in friends 24-7...that make any sense???
More/different alphabets
Different baby stamps
I'm sure there will be a lot of vintage stuff...it's big right now
Probably more manly stuff since they seem to be going in that direction as of late too!
We will get a lot of new DSP with the color change!
And I don't know if anyone mentioned BUT the catty will be bigger this year:-)

Don't know if it will cost customers more...very very slight increase in the cost of a box of them for demos but it's teeny! No word on the retail cost....BUT I'd pay a lot for more pages....to the tune of 16 pages if my noggin remembers right!!!!!
To me, Elements of Style is a rehash of Toile Blossoms. Like it, but it's too close to what I already own.

I thought the same thing, so bought myself Toile Blossoms at far less than I could get Elements of Style... "There's nothing new under the sun..."

There has been a lot of talk of this. My view on it is that I like the SU releases "newer or updated" versions of past stamp sets (or at least similar) for two reasons. One, newer stampers get the chance to get something that they might have "missed" before. Not everyone has been stamping that long or long enough to have a set just like "that one". KWIM?
Two, I tend to use what is current because I case a lot or at least get inspiration from projects posted and "most" of what is posted is new and current stuff. I keep most of my retired stamps but they just kind of sit there (no, I don't have a hoarding problem, thank you, LOL!).
I also like what one poster said about there isn't anything new under the sun. Honestly flower sets are going to look like other flower sets, baby sets are going to look like other baby sets....you get the idea.
As far as elements of style, I LOVE IT! Having said that I don't have the set you mentioned and would NOT have gotten it previously as I only go into the vintage thing recently...so there's another reason....people's style and taste grow and change, so again it's nice to have the option of getting something you might not have at one time but are into it now. Anyway, that's just my 2 cents! Bring on the new catty!!!
I wish they would check trends and have less cutsy stamps. More shabby chic would be very nice. Stores are closing left and right, so I think a bigger variety of stamps and supplies would be wonderful! I love the new mini catlog, first time in a long time! Maybe they are getting it again!
My wish list:
*scripture stamp sets or even some individual scripture stamps.
*sentiment stamps that are appropriate for inside of cards- maybe a set with a one line saying and then a sentiment to stamp inside
*I love floral stamps!
*more realistic animals
*some age appropriate for teenagers (boys and girls) sets
*Organdy ribbon in a ton of colors and wide widths
Will be keeping my fingers crossed - there are more pages in the new catalog so that can only mean more more more stuff!
I'm a sucker for horse stamps, but not western. I am getting a bit tired of butterflies, but I think I'm in the minority there. I'd love to see more masculine stamps, as well. DSP - of course! Ribbon - hear it's wonderful.
question - I know you can't order until 7/1, but when should I be hearing from my demo that she's got the new catalog? I love to browse!

Demos are able to pre-order catalogs starting yesterday *i think*...I am just hobby and dont order catties, just wait for me free one. I think they start shipping them in early June to the demos that ordered.
Catty starts on July 1st this year. Demos will be able to pre-order colors and in colors and select new catty items on June 1st. Start watching here and on blogs the next day or two after that because many of us will expedite our orders because we get a copy of the new catalog in our first prre-order adn we are all crazy and will want our catties asap!!
It will be like last year...we will be told that we are not supposed to post any pics or links of the new catalog. Many of us will follow those rules and wont post actual pages from the catalog but I am sure you will find some who will break the rules and post, so you can probably find images at least of new stamp sets around.
Demos who ordered boxes of catties should be able to get them to their customers tho, so get your catty order in with your demo now so she can pre-order her catties and get them to you!!
My favorite part is the color combos they use and the inspiration. So I'm almost sure to be pleased!
I kinda like the stuff everyone's sick of, flowers, cutsie animals... But whatever is in there I'm sure as soon as the talented folks who add to our gallery get ahold of them all the sudden I'll see them differently and have to have them.
I'm excited about kraft ink because I've been looking for a nice light brown and can't find one.

Mmm.... what am I hoping to see....
individual packs of pearls and rhinestones in SU colors
more embossing folders
more ribbon. especially the satiny type ones with the white borders
lots more DSP
I'd love bigger round punches
more Big Shot items
Sentiments for inside cards
new baby stamps
the satin ribbon in more colors
new and much more exciting valentine's/love stamps
I don't want to see any Christmas stamps. I LOVE Christmas stamps, but I have several SETS that I've not made any cards with yet! SETS folks, not individual stamps. And I'm really looking forward to making cards with what I have.
But every stinking year something comes out that stops my heart in Christmas. I can't buy anymore until I use what I have this year. I DO sell them after I make a year of cards with them, but somehow I got all messed up and have all these sets still. Like that cool orniment set from last year? I have such the rocking plans for CAS cards in nontraditional colors with that set. It's going to be lush. But I can't remember what I ended up doing last year. Something else.
So no more Christmas that I like. Pleanty that yall like, just nothing I like. haha.

Flat dies like Nesties or PTI style instead of the bulky ones.
Yes yes yes! I really hope they do some sizzix dies (since they are already partnered with this company) that are like NESTIES! That would be soooo awesome! I love my nesties but can't use them when I help my demo friend with her camps and classes. I truly hope they do, and that they "nest" for easy layering!
I also want more embossing folders
masuline stamps that don't involve fixing or cars. My hubby doesn't 'do' either.
more line drawn sets that Copics would work with
and speaking of which, how about some SU Copics! Hmm??? Have they thought of that?
I would love more sentiments that fit common occasions to go on the inside of cards (I hate coming up with the perfect thing to say.)
a new set that has lots of occasions in one set (but not kiddy cartoony)
I definitely would like to see more masculine stamp sets. They also need sets geared towards teenaged boys and guys who don't hunt, fish, and live in the great outdoors.
Perhaps they need a set with a lounge, a TV, a computer, a can of beer and a game controller.

I definitely want to see more inside sentiment stamps. I haven't found a good set of those in ages. I agree with more masculine stamps that aren't hunting, fishing related.
I do like the single stamps so I, too, hope they add more to that line.

Can't wait!!!!!
I read that Nestabilities are patented. So Sizzix can't make "nesting" dies!

I would like some military stamps. The two sets that we have are very somber looking that I don't want to make any cards out of them because they look like a sympathy card when I use them. A set with a 'congrats on your promotion' or 'congrats on completing training' would be nice. More military stamps for us military spouses!
