I am finding that I don't have enough sentiments and have found some great lists on this site. My question: what kind of printer do you use to print them and are you using cardstock to print them on?
Many printers bend the paper as it passes through and can't handle heavier paper stock. If you want to print on heavy cardstock, look for a straight path. My ancient HP Laserjet 5mp will print on 100 pound Strathmore if I lower the front and back trays so the paper goes straight through. Even heavier paper will feed if I nudge it just as it's being grabbed. I only do this when I want the sentiment printed directly on a heavy card base.
I've used my cheap inkjet printer too and just used lighter weight paper which I then would matte onto the card base. Some inkjets have an adjustment for paper thickness so that you can use thicker papers. Whisper White feeds well even without any adjustments on my Epson R220.

I've used all kinds of cardstock in my inkjet Canon MP520. I usually print the inside sentiments on nice thick bond paper (28lb or 32lb) and then mat it on the inside of my cards. I print a lot of digi stamps and have printed on Cougar 130# cardstock with no problem in my printer using the rear feed.
If it's for the inside, I use good quality printer paper and make an insert.
If it's for the outside I print on light card - as has been mentioned, some printers don't like heavy card and mine is one of them (HP Deskjet). If I need extra strength, as in if it's going to be popped up on foam, I just cut or punch a spare shape from thicker card and stick the two together. I love my sentiment stamps, but there are times you need something else, or a particular font.
My printer does it but I have to play with it a lot, and ends up wasting paper, even though it has a setting for thicker paper. For that reason I would recommend not getting an Epson Artison 800.

I wish there were templates available to know WHERE to enter the sentiments so that when we print it, the sentiments are centered on the inside right half of the A2 card.
I use laser printer and wasau CS 92 lb. So when I try to use the full sheet in the printer it *always* gets jammed because the paper is too thick for it. So instead of a full A4 sheet, I cut a strip big enough to print properly and use that. That works always!
I have the Epson Workforce and have the same problem. It drives me bananas! I usually have to play with it for 10 minutes just to get it to feed a thicker cardstock through. But I know it can do it, because it's done it before. It's just finicky some days. To avoid wasting paper, I make sure I only put a couple of pieces of thicker cardstock in the paper tray, this way if it doesn't 'grab' the first piece, and spits it out without printing, it'll try again with another piece and sometimes I get lucky with it.

I have an HP all-in one type printer (J6490) It's not a straight pass but it handles thick cardstock like Bazzill well. I also love printing onto patterned paper and ink jet transparencies. The ink also works well with Copic markers.
I use my HP printers and can use even 110# cardstock with no problem. For the insides of my cards, I use 24# white, cream or ecru paper in laid, linen or silk paper then mat and attach inside card.
Ted....You can make your own template in MS Word or Publisher for printing the insides or even the front of the cards. It's easy to make the layout. Then just save it as a template or document and just change the wording as needed before printing. Just make the paper the exact size of your card base and do the layout of wording from there.
either GP white, SU W White or Papertrey Stamper's Select. All of them feed fine in my HP Photosmart Premium. I also have Gina K base weight but have not tried it in my printer.
I have three different printers, an epson, hp and a Lexmark. They all handle card stock even textured card stock. I have several free font sites that I visit to get the style that I want. I always print on scrap paper first just to make it's the right size and shape.

I use Georgia-Pacific or SU. My HP printer doesn't like anything thicker than that, and I usually have to give the SU paper a nudge for it to go in. I usually print my own sentiments for outside and inside. I can change the colors and fonts to whatever I want. The only thing I don't like about printing my own sentiments is that I can't change fonts within the text without a lot of trouble using text boxes to mix them. I like some of the sentiments where one word is a different font so it stands out.
I have an older version of Word, which will not open the docx extension. Could you possibly save these with the doc extension? Many thanks!

I use my Epson Stylus printer with no problems. I put the quarter size card in the printer already sized. Same with 5 x 7. Here are the templates I have made. The words are in a text box thus I can place them whereever I want. When I replace the text I usually have to re-center and often change the font. I have other sizes as well using the same procedure. Will put the landscape 5 x 7 next.

I just use my computer & printer with a text doc. set at 3 columns. That way the script is compact and I observe placement with the ruler. I print first on a plain paper and adjust by holding the card up to the light. Works well for me although may be poor computer skills!

They have so many to choose from, including dingbats if you need those. The have them by category so they are easy to find. Enjoy!
Just a suggestion. I buy packs of print business cards. I type whatever sentiment on each card, sometimes all different and sometimes the same in whatever font suits my fancy. Each page makes 10 business cards & the template is in most word processing programs. Then I just pull them apart and attach to my card. This way I don't have to worry about fitting them on a full piece of paper, I can make lots at a time, inexpensive and looks nice on the card.

What a great idea. Never though of using columns. I have always fiddled around with text boxes.

Avery.com has many free templates for printing. I use them for printing verticle or horizontal cards. The templates are divided with a blue line 4 ways (which doesn't print) so that you know where to print. You can print 2 cards at a time on 8 1/2 by 11" cardstock or you can print on the 4 squares and cut them out for 4 sentiments.

If you have Microsoft Publisher you can do just that. I just learned that myself after years of using my Word program then cutting it out and pasting it to my cards. With Publisher you can create templates for each size cards and keep as a document on your desk top.

Your computer should have a file called FONTS. When you go to download from a site, just hit "save as" and save it in the font file. I have a Mac and whenever I download a font, it will check it to make sure it is safe, before installing it in my font file. I don't remember how it was done with PC, but I am sure if you go to help, they will explain how to save a new font. Also, do a search on your hard drive to find the file first. Good luck.

What I do to always get a sentiment in the position I want is this:
I go into Word and click under Tools> Letters & Mailings> Envelopes & Labels> Options and then I chose a size of "label" that coordinates with what size sentiment I need. For example, I know my wording can be 1.5" across so I chose label format #5293, which if I was using the Avery Labels in that stock #, would give me 4 panels across that are each 1.63" inches each. I either type my sentiment into the first block and then Copy/Paste into however many copies I want or you can type it once in the main block and tell it how many times you want it repeated. I find #1 easier.
So, at this point, say I am making 4 cards that each will say, "Happy Birthday" which I typed in my desired font, size, color, etc. I print it out and it gives them to me all in even rows/columns, just as if I had printed on to a sheet of labels but I printed onto SU Very Vanilla CS. I trim them into desired size and mount onto a coordinate CS or print that I used in the card itself and then stick it wherever I want it in my sketch. Please see my gallery for an example. I know one for sure that is done this way is "Bone Jour." I can tell you more to check if you need me to do so. I hope this helps!
