I hope someone will be able to help me please. I purchased the MS Loopy border punch just to use as a border - don't want it all round the page so didn't get the corner punch but I can't seem to line it up for the border as it is different to the others one. How do I do it?
I believe all of the "Punch Around the Page borders will only work for the prescribed lengths.
Each border punch configuration is 1 & 3/4" wide and therefore the length must be in multiples of 1 & 3/4"
The length measurement guide is included with each punch . You can punch squares or rectangles as long as your measurements are within the length guidelines.
I have the double loop punches - corner & border. You can use the border punch alone but you will end up with a stray piece of a loop because the loops are set in a staggered line. I just cut the stray piece off and I don't think it looks bad. You will not cover the whole length of card front. I'm not good at explaining sorry.
Thanks Crafter 4 Life. That's what I have been trying to do (I just want it for the top edge of a piece of card stock, not interested in all round the edges). I just can't seem to line the punch up properly when I start the punching if you see what I mean? I will try again. Been looking for a video but to no avail!
I just punched a strip and on the top row the end loops are not complete. It is designed to connect to the next punched loop
As Crafter 4 Life said you may need to just snip it off or leave a narrow un-punched section on each edge.
I measured the length of one border punching and it is 1 & 3/4". So you would need a piece that is a multiple of 1 & 3/4" PLUS the amount you decide to leave un- punched on each edge.
I haven't had any problems using the MS punches. On the wider punch, flip down the
punch to use the full punch. Start the punch lineing it up with the TOP of the punch
edge line. Move cut strip to edge of punch on bottom of punch to line up with their design, and punch again.
Shouldn't be any problem if you are lineing up your already first cut with that
design on the punch, continuing punching until strip of paper is done. ALWAYS matching
up your previous cut with the design on punch.

I'm not sure I understand your question, but I was not happy when I first started using the Loops punch. I wasn't lining it up right and found that there were small gaps in between sets of loops or I inadvertently overcut an end loop making it all wonky.
Now I flip it upside down to use it, just like my other punches. I can clearly see where the last punch ends and where I need to start my next.

I've been punching, punching, trimming, & punching. All efforts toward punching a square with the MS Loop border & corner punch.
Confession: The instruction sheet is MIA ... :(
Plus, the PDF posted above is of no use in this case.

You can make a 3.25" square or a 5" square and it should work perfectly as long as your cuts are accurate. I've never had trouble with the PAP sets lining up correctly. Cut your paper the right size, make sure you punch your corners first, then line it up to match the printed guides on the punch itself.

Yep ... the 5" square is what I've used .... actually a "shy 5".

Becca had a great video in her Becca Bits blog a few days ago. Hope this link works and that this may solve your problem, although it uses a different punch.
