new scoring tool by MS!!!
went to Michaels today, and guess what Martha Stewart has out? a new scoring board. it is just like a scor-pal, BUT it has scor lines at EVERY 1/8 inch!!!!! from 1/8th to 12&almost 1/2 inches.
it also comes with an envelope template, and a scor tool which stores in a little drawer at the top.
it is white.
the price was $19.95 but i had a coupon and got for $12!!!!!!!
i cant wait to play this weekend and see how i like it...........
i tried to find a picure to add here but cant, maybe some one can help?

I'm salivating at the thought of this new product. I have the ScorePal and use it several times a day, however, I've discovered that it doesn't always have lines where I want them. If you give a good reportcard for this MS scoring board I will clutching my coupon and hoping my Michaels gets it in stock.
I'll be waiting for your opinion....

Oh, as soon as I saw "MS" I had to comment! Good luck with your MS purchase! In every store I go into everything MS is always on sale. I never wonder why ~ she needs to stick w/her K Mart towels and sheets because she sure doesnt know anything about making craft items. Everything I ever purchased under her name has never worked. It's shoddy workmanship or poor product. Hopefully, you can prove me wrong.

Ouch!!! At least we know how you feel about Martha's craft line, thank you for sharing that with us. ;)
I've had a very different experience from yours and therefore enjoy learning about new MS products as they come available. Unlike some people, I've not had to return even one of the many MS punches I've purchased (and yes, I have used them extensively) and her ribbons are high quality and tie beautifully. I've also had good luck with her gorgeous 3-D flower stickers, chip board and journaling pens.
We are fortunate to live in a country where we have an unlimited number of places to purchase our craft products. I am grateful for each and every one of them! The more craft choices I have the happier I am.
Just my 2 cents on the subject.

I have bought several punches from MS. I like them but once I dropped one on the floor as I have with others. LOL that sucker went into several pieces...just as it had been put together. It amazed me as it wasn't made to survive me...LOL Now I am careful with the others.
This new board sounds fabulous but I don't think our Michaels has them. But tomorrow if I have a chance will drive to and find out. Thanks for the info.

maybe because it is so new?

Sempermom, how does it work? I saw it today, and was debating purchasing it. Wasn't sure if it just scored, and if it made a nice embossed line too? Can't wait to hear how it worked for you.

ok, did a few tests with it.......LOVE IT!!
now, the scoring tool ( looks like a bone folder) is a bit sharp, so dont use heavy pressure if using lightwieght paper, it will tear. its sharpness gives an excellent scor on heavier papers, so will just be a matter of judgement when you are working with diff papers.
i made a box, so cute, so easy
envies, oooh sooo easy and quick.
i scored and embossed a lot of lines onto "white core" cardstock, in both directions(think grid lines) then sanded! nice result.
i would say this is one of my best purchases lately.
buy it when you have a coupon and its especially nice deal ;)

I went to a couple of Michaels today and none of them had all of the new Martha Stewart stuff out yet. No scoring boards yet! :( Maybe tomorrow.

Thanks for telling us about this new scoring board. It sounds wonderful & very affordable. It sounds like I can get a large score board at a local store, with a coupon & not pay shipping! It doesn't get much better than that. Plus, I like the idea of extra scoring lines. My Michaels has the pegs up for the new products & most of them are empty. I'm near a really busy michaels. I may have to go to the one farther away that usually has a slower turnover. I've been one of the people that has had good luck with the MS products I've purchased. The white silk ribbon takes color beautifully & ties nicely. I have several punches, clear stamps & glitters. The chunky glitters are my favorite at Christmas time. THANKS!

Can't wait to check it out, thanks for sharing! The "good thing" is that Martha may provide lots of great project ideas for this tool. I've had mostly good experiences with her products.....trouble only with that doily punch on cardstock. My new drippy goo punch (with the fold-up sides) is doing great on all types of paper, no resistance at all! Maybe Martha's reading SCS and listening.

in my michaels, it was at the end of the MS isle, hanging on a bottom peg.
it is a large board, fits 12x12 with a bit of space. it is a whiteish- cream color.
yes, i have seen some of her new punches, including the ones that are also stamps, but, i just bought a slice machine and some design cards, so punches are out for me for awhile! i have a few already and love them too.
i havent had any bad luck with any of her stuff

I cannot wait to see this!! I've had good luck with the ms punches and her circle cutter, so I am anxious about this. I have a score pal and love it but would love to get one with more score lines. This one sounds like a good buy cost wise. TFS

I went to M's armed with a 45% off coupon to learn that Martha Crafts were 25% off this week, so decided to wait. As for the punches there are tons for Christmas, I bought a couple of the Halloween ones on clearance.

I picked one up today - thinking even at just 25% off they were still a bargain!
OMG! This score board is awesome! Here's why;
It has 1/8 score lines
It is open on the right side of the board
It is just as sturdy as the Scor Pal but has wayyyy more features
It COMES WITH A TRIANGULAR ENVELOPE MAKER - that stores neatly underneath the board. An envelope maker for pete's sake!
It has a nifty flip top compartment that has INSTRUCTIONS included on the lid for making: A2,A6,A7,A9 cards and Boxes: 3",4",6",8" !
The compartment also holds the scoring blade
Full price is $19.99 at Michaels ( use a coupon and you've got a bargain)
No more guessing or sliding paper around.
I've found the perfect scoring tool!

I think I "need" one of those boards! I've considered buying a score-pal but held off due to the cost & shipping. I would love to try this new Martha Stewart version! Thanks for everyone's feedback..I'll be looking out for this one, with coupon in hand!!

Ours did not have MS stuff on sale. I almost picked up a new punch to use my coupon on but I decided to just wait. My stores had all the new MS stuff except the scoring board.

I bought one last night at my Michaels. Used a 45% coupon. That was 9.00 off of 19.99. I can post a picture but not sure how to do it. If Someone tells me how I will post one.

WOW! I have never had any problems with any MS products I've purchased so far. That doesn't mean that I won't, but I don't know of any company that has a 100% perfect product 100% of the time, do you. Maybe you just don't like MS, so you look for faults in her products. So far, it looks as though her product quality has a thumbs up here.

Just got some birthday money from the inlaws and totally know where I am spending it now! I can't wait to find one around. Thanks for the pictures. I love that it has so many score lines---that is why I don't like the others---have to move my paper so much---hope my store has one!!!

I have a Scor Pal - but am liking the looks of this from MS - may have to check it out - I am liking that you can score every 1/8 " ---not like I need another toy! LOL May even put it on my Christmas list - hubby always asks what he and the kids can buy me!

MAN, I'm so mad that I got the Scorpal now! It was a splurge for me, and it is nice, but it sometimes is a pain when the lines aren't in the right spot, and the envie template would be a nice extra. grrr.
