I don't know if every BX/PX carries any general paper crafting stuff, but ours up here in Alaska does. I've been trying to check in on the section whenever I hit the PX. We all know that the exchange, no matter how big and nice it is, is still a small store with not much selection.
Well, I've known for a while that they carried some MS items, but not alot. I checked today and they had a whole bunch of new MS punches, the MS scoreboard ($17.99 in AK), a bunch of Bazzil paper packs, DCVW pads, and Hero Arts stamps. I know the selection isn't the best, but I do try to make sure AAFES knows their efforts to provide us with at least the basics is appreciated by buying from them when they have something worth while. The next time you're in your BX/PX check and see what you exchange has! You might be suprised and glad you did!
Thanks for reminding me! It's been months since I've been in our PX and they did start carrying a lot of MS and Fiskars products. I'll have to stop in there soon and see what's new!
princessmeshelle and scrapcat71..if you would please PM me your addresses, I would love to see if I can put together a box of stuff to send each of you. I am so grateful for the service to our country and I know I have a lot of nice things I could share with you two.
I have way more supplies than I will ever use.
blessings.
I was at the PX last week and was also surprised at the number of MS items they had. I'm not sure if they had any other brands available. I, too, try to purchase from the PX whenever possible to support them.
I wish our CGEX (Coast Guard Exchange) had crafting supplies but they don't. The nearest Exchange for me is an hour plus away so I don't get much of a chance to go there. It's great that some are carrying crafting goodies!

Yeah the last time I went it was only MS stuff.... it will be exciting if they get other stuff

Ours has had MS for maybe a year now. They are in the middle of a remodel and it looks like they are almost done. I just hope that they keep adding. We are up to a 3/4 of an rowon one side! It would be nice to have a whole row on both sides..
Ours here in Japan just got the MS, Bazzill and Hero Arts stuff. Sure, it's small, but I was shocked to see it! Our Arts and Crafts center just got new stock in too. Their old stock was looking so sad, it was nice to see some new goodies! We're in northern Japan, and pretty isolated, so when new stuff comes in, it's pretty fun!
And ours just got a CRICUT EXPRESSION, the vinyl, tool kit and spatula! Never say never! Of course, the prices are more than you can find online, but I appreciate the effort they are making in carrying crafty stuff!

Don't feel bad the Navy exchanges don't carry any of this either. :( (at least the one's I've been too)

Our BX here is HORRIBLE! My hubby is stationed at Whiteman AFB in Missouri and we have nothing in our BX for scrapbooking...AND our craft center got rid of all of their scrapbook stuff. The closest Michaels and Hobby lobby are 45 min away! I can't wait to move next summer and hopefully we get a base with some stores close by haha.
I was at Luke AFB BX a couple of days ago and noticed they had alot of new stuff like Hero Arts stamp sets. They have had some Martha stuff for the last couple of years but it is nice to see new stuff.
Yeah, ours only got the Hero Arts clear stamps, clear blocks and Cricut stuff probably 2-3 weeks ago, so keep your eyes open! I had just been down to Kadena where they had a whole side of an aisle dedicated to craft supplies...I was so jealous...then ours got some stock. Happy days!
