New SUO Blog Group

I was looking to join a blog group that is SUO blogs and it seems they are all full, so I'm just going to start my own. I'm going to limit the number to 10 so that it is easier for us to visit each other and comment. I JUST started my blog, as in, I only have one post, but I will be posting frequently. I had another blog that was more about my kids and I would share my SU creations, but I decided to make them separate. If you would like to join this blog group, here are the requirements:

1) Must list all blog group members on side of blog.
2) Must update blog AT LEAST once a week.
3) Must comment on the other nine blogs AT LEAST once a week.
4) Blog must be at least 90% SUO crafts.

Not too hard. I know that things get in the way sometimes. I have three boys and my husband works out of town and is only home every other weekend, so I know how hard it can be to get time to craft, let alone blog about it, but I think once a week is definately doable! If you would like to join, leave a comment and let me know! And if anyone has any suggestions, for a group name, let me know!

I'd like to join! One of my goals this year was to increase my posting to my blog, while I haven't quite gotten to one a week, I have been doing better this year than in previous ones. This will be a great incentive to make me do it.

Okay, I've added everybody's blogs to my blog now. But, for some reason I'm having trouble with Pat's http://www.scrappinvtstampinscrappin.com/ . It shows up on my blog, but when I click it to go to her blog I get a window that says it can't connect with her blog. Yet, if I click on her blog addy here it goes to it just fine. Anybody else having issues?

Everyone that has replied made it in! Our group is now full! I was going to edit my first post and put everyone in there, but I can't figure out how to do it. I don't see the edit button? So, I'll make a new list and post it after this with everyone's name and blog. I look forward to getting to know all of you! Does anyone have an idea for a name?

Blogger finally let me add a blog roll, so I have everyone listed. I don't know why it wouldn't let me do it last night. I, too, am having trouble with Pat's blog. I tried taking the / off after .com. I tried taking the www. out also and neither worked. It does list it on my blog, but when you click on it it says page can't be found or something like that. I also have no problem getting to her blog from this list, though. I'm not really surew what to do?

I tried all those things too. I want people to be able to go to Pat's blog from my blog. Weird. I will keep trying different things to get it to work. I'll post here if I find something that gets it to connect properly. I'm no computer expert though!

This is a silly question, but I notice that all of us using blogger have ".blogspot" in our blog address. Pat's doesn't, could that be the issue? Probably not because we can all open her blog from her address in the signature, just not from a link to our own blogs. I have researched a little bit on Blogger Help, but couldn't find anything useful yet. I'll keep searching and let you all know if I figure it out!

I was able to access your blog through your link that you placed in your message, but when I copy/pasted it directly from the URL line on your blog to my blog list this is what it comes up as: Scrappinvt's Scrappin' & stampin'. I am going to try to typing it in without copy/paste and see if that works.

Well, that is interesting.... when I copy/pasted the blog address it left the numbers out here. This is how the URL comes out on Blogger:

Even when I type the correct URL directly from the blog. Is this a Blogger problem maybe?

Wow, this is weird, when I hit save the numbers in between disappear in the post. There is 's in between the first space after Scrappinvt, another ' after Scrappin and then & and then ' after stampin.

These numbers and symbols are not publishing so one more try and I will put spaces in between the symbols and numbers I am seeing in between the words: (& # 39 ; s) , the next space has (& # 39; ), the next space has (& amp; ), and the last space has (& # 39; ).

I tried just typing it in and and it didn't work. I am wondering if it has something to do with the blog name? It doesn't seem to like something in it. It gives me those wierd symbols too. Like & stampin&#39.

Thank you all for the sweet comments on my Roses and Candles blog entry (and any others that you commented on). Some have asked how'd I do that flower. Well, I went to http://www.thescrappinmama.com/ and scrolled down to April 16...she has a great video. Now, she calls it a Magnolia flower, but when I got mine done, it looks more like a Rose than a Magnolia. I found them really very simple to do and I love the outcome I got with it. So I just called mine a Rose. I have seen others on SCS and SC that look the same as mine and they call it a Rose also.

Go take a look and try it out.

I also noticed too that when I click on my blog name from your list that after the .com it has something about feeds in it too. Maybe I should get rid of the the feed burner thing on my blog. I also bought a domain name for my blog, but may be I should get rid of that too.

You could try removing the feed burner thing. Maybe that's the problem? I noticed when I click on other blogs, it doesn't have anything about feeds in the address. Let us know if you remove the "feed burner" thingy and we'll try accessing the link to your blog on our blogs. We are all going to be computer techies by the time we get this figured out! Tee Hee Hee.

My blog will be fixed to reflect Pat's new blog address later today. My computer guru isn't home right now, but when she is...she will fix it. I know nothing about putting addresses etc on blogs. My hubby doesn't even know how to get on the net...so when Vicki gets home, she will fix it.

I think some of you made your own blog backgrounds? Did you use MDS? If you did would you mind sharing what size you used & how you did it? I can make a header & have no problem getting it posted, but I have lots of problems trying to get my background posted.:confused:

I paid Michelle Laycock to do mine. It was worth $45 in my opinion. I just told her what I wanted and she came up with a design and loaded it all for me. It was totally a "turn key" operation!
