Default Adhesive for crocheted/knitted embellies

What adhesive do you recommend to securely attach crocheted or knitted embellishments to a card? The liquid products I've tried seem to get absorbed, and glue dots don't always hold well.

How about lightly sewing the flower with a matching color thread?

Oh my--I hadn't thought of the obvious. (Shh...don't mention this to my 4-H sewing project leader from years ago!) Thanks!

When I have attached flowers to my cards, I use a brad in the middle. Keeps the flower in place and acts like a part of the design.
