Hey ladies, need your creative minds. My hubby will be home in 4 hours and I just found out I am pregnant with number 3! We have in the past suffered a miscarriage, and 3 years of fertility treatment to concieve our second child, so needless to say, I am ecstatic. Now I need some ideas for a daddy card and maybe a bag. I got a few little goodies to give him. Little boy socks, a baby girl headband and prenatal vitamins.
Please share any ideas you have! I know I can count on some great ideas from you talented ladies!

Run to the bakery and buy some cupcakes. Some with blue icing, some with pink icing.
I totally love that "bun in the oven" idea!! Too funny!

I remember seeing on Full House, Becky told Jesse by making a dinner of all things that had the word "baby" in it. So, like baby back ribs, baby carrots, etc. I thought that was cute!
Congrats!

I told mine DD was coming by informing him that I wanted ice cream and it wasn't good to deprive a pregnant lady of what she was craving.
That's awesome! I made a card with a calendar on it that had the due date circled and highlighted. Next time, I'm so going to make the ice cream request. ;)

I don't have any kids and don't have any ideas but I wanted to say congrats! I'll keep your family in my prayers that everything goes smoothly. I just found out a friend is expecting number 2! Let us know what you do to tell your hubby!~
Congratulations!
When I expecting #5 I didn't tell hubby for a while. He was out of town moving his mom into a nursing home and was too stressed and sad to deal with it. Father's Day turned out to be the perfect day to surprise him. I decorated a little lunch bag with baby stamps and put in some tiny booties. The card said "What is the best gift you could ever get? ME!" signed with a stamp of baby hand and footprints. He was pretty stunned but had a hunch something was up!

Congratulations! I bought pink and blue carnations for my hubby and wrapped them in a baby blanket. It took him a minute but he caught on! I am excited to hear how your hubby reacts!!
gee, all I said was "I'm pregnant" -- you guys are so clever!!
ps. best of luck!
Yeah, I had one of those don't do what I did moments!
My DH collected me from work and I blurted it out on our way home. We nearly crashed. of course that's funny now! :p Wish I had been clever though!
We are Texas Longhorn fans. When I found out we were expecting, I made a card that said "apparently I got Hooked!" I stamped baby hands all over it and put it with a bib (Longhorns, of course).
He is soooo excited! He cried in the pizza place. You can see what I did here. Put it on my blog since it takes some time to upload here.
Mike is grinning ear to ear. He just got called out on a fire call, and though I told him I'd like to keep it quiet for a while, I would bet every firefighter on the department is going to know by the time he gets home. After all we went through to bring our Mason into our lives, this is an unexpected, but much appreciated miracle. Thanks so much for all your good wishes!

How cute! again all my best wishes for you pregnancy and future.
Just finding this thread now and your DH has heard the good news. I wanted to send my hugs and sincere congratulations to all of you on the expected arrival. There's nothing like that kind of news, so thanks letting us in on the big event! Be sure to post when the little one arrives so we can all celebrate some more. Kathy
Love it!
I never bothered telling hubby in any creative way because we both always knew we were trying LOL
We lost a daughter and then got pregnant again so quickly and knew we were going to be tied up with doctor visits so often there was no real way to keep it all under wraps so we just told people.
I love that you were able to make it special, well more special, each and every pregnancy is special.
Again, my congratulations to the whole family and I'll be thinking of you all these coming months.

I can't believe I just happened across this thread! My dd just found out today that she's pregnant. I'm so excited! We'll have a Christmas baby!
Congrats to you and your family!
BTW, dd has sworn me to secrecy for the time being. I told her she'd better not make me wait too long cuz I'll bust! I didn't think she'd mind me sharing with you guys. lol
Congratulations!
Cute little story when we were pregnant with our third.......(but didn't know it yet.)
It was a Saturday morning and I was in the kitchen in my nightgown fixing breakfast....and yes, I was barefoot. Hubby came up behind me put his arms around me and said,"2 out 0f 3 ain't bad". A couple of days later, I found out I was pregnant. A VERY big surprise. How I told him.....I went into the kitchen, took my shoes off and said,"guess what I am?" He had that look of shock and said....in a very soft voice,"pregnant?" 3 out of 3...he shoots he scores!

I love what you made! Those are so beautiful and will be treasured forever. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

The most creative announcement we did was put together a photo album (just a little book with slip-in pages, nothing big, and about half way through, we slipped in an ultrasound photo. Then we handed it around at Thanksgiving dinner and let everyone look through it. IT was my husband's first and his mom went NUTS! Up until then, nobody but us and my sister (who is my bestie) knew!
