1. We admitted we were powerless over craft supplies - that our lives (or at least our space) had become unmanageable.
2. Came to believe that our sister crafters could help us return to sanity.
3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to ourselves and not be influenced by coupons and bargains.
4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of all our supplies.
5. Admitted to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our shopping.
6. Were entirely ready to realize that shopping is not a defect of character. We are not bad people for buying supplies, we just buy too much of what we dont need.
7. Humbly asked ourselves Do we really need to buy this?.
8. Made a list of all persons and places we could donate to and became willing to do so.
9. Made direct donations to such people or places wherever possible, except when they really didnt want our supplies.
10. Continued to take inventory of our supplies and when we were overstocked promptly admitted it.
11. Sought though creating and using our existing products to improve our space and our mojo.
LMFAO !! I'm currently doing the "quick, clean up, Mom is coming to visit" (btw, I am 50). I'm also moving in June, so have been finding tons of DP, stamps, punches....all kinds of stuff that I didn't even know I had ! Mom will be taking some of my goodies back with her, and I will be left with my CB, and Nesties of course, about 1000 sheets of DP, and the rest of the necessaries to get specific projects done. I am swearing off buying anything but adhesive, unless M's gets another 50% coupon, and I have my TE kits (3 more) coming. I may get the DT's, but am counting on my sisters here to talk me down !! Again, that prayer is outstanding and exceedingly hilarious !

Problem??? What problem???? Just cause I HAVE to keep the door closed at ALL times!! And there is only a small path from said door to the table/chair. there is no problem, I tell ya. Well......... maybe just a small one.
jennik
LOL.....been watching Hoarders at all ? How many of those big junk trucks could you fill ? Man, that is a heck of a show. The clutter and mess is still disgusting, but there was one lady that had a goat eat its way into the bedroom, another lady with dirty adult diapers 3 feet high..........WE have NO problem at all !!!

OMG......this is funny, but it's not funny, but it is soooooo funny!!!!! Especially the comment about the Hoarders show. LOL I guess when our craft stuff gets like that and we have a thread dealing on that level, then we really have an issue!!! Mine is in my garage, and there's a path all around down one side to the other...and what's scary is I know where stuff is! Actually I'm in the process of clearing it out so I can actually work in there and get my car in it too....SHOCK!!!! But, once I get it cleaned out, I'll probably still want to haul it into the house to work....
Seriously though...this was great, a 12 step program....I'm still laughing.....
This was great, thanks for the smile! Just when you think you are the "only one" with a 'problem' you can come to SCS and find all the encouragement you want or need...or the enablers to help you!!

Hey we've got to stick together and support each other. ;)
Thanks Mary. I actually surprised myself. I did this at lunch the other day. I don't know where all this "creativity" came from but I'm glad everyone is enjoying it.
Welcome, Mary and BillieDee and everyone else.
Hey, ladies, I'm stuck on #7....what's "need" got to do with it?? And eagerly awaiting the Scor-Buddy...
LMBO......You are so funny, I'm right with you though after placing an order for something I just couldn't live without...more design cards for my Slice (yeah, sure....) LOL
Am currently living in a hotel near by #1,was going to say in a tent under,...but I am not interested in the geat outdoors except threw the window. Am doing unmounted so I can get more stamps!!!
Move ribbon in the drawers where the loose stamps were so I can have more paper and stuff that is only seen by me!!!!
Hmmm, 2. Came to believe that our sister crafters could help us return to sanity.
Isn't that a little bit like asking a fellow alcoholic to have a drink with us??
Ladies, I have to admit, I just accidentally ordered the same set....from two different SU demos (personally, I think it should be spelled "demons")!!! I'm outta control and the new catty isn't even out yet, YIKES.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my SU demos!! The "demons" are all my addictions, lol!
Thanks for the fun thread!

LOLOLOL A woman after my own heart. There is never a problem at my house -- until my oldest son, his wife and the grandbaby come to visit from out of state. Those critters move into MY craft room and take over!!! Go figure. LOL Do love seeing them though.

I was looking for this earlier this evening and it took me forever to find it. I think I should have named it The Crafters 12 Steps. For some reason that is what I had it booked marked as and then I lost my bookmark and so I had to Google it in order to find it.
LOL "demons." I call mine my "pusher." I had to get a new home TWICE for my stamps. Not for me or my cats but my stamp stuff. And now we're outgrowing the new place. Sigh. No more moving just for the stamp stuff, I swear.
I've figured out there's a slight problem ... my sister crafters and I just miiiight have a slightly different definition for "sanity" and "need" than non-crafters do. lol
