Default What is a good ink pad...

I'm making shower invites and thank you notes for a dear friend's daughter who is getting married. Her wedding colors are purple and ivory. I love SU inks, but with the amount I have to stamp I was wondering if there was a "cleaner" purple stamp pad? For example, I ALWAYS use stazon for black ink because it is just so much cleaner and sharper than other ink pads, and doesn't smudge. Purple is sometimes as hard to use as red...it tends to run and get all over everything. Since I'm doing a major amount on ivory...it's become sooo easy to have smudges from the ink on my hands or on the ivory paper just from the stamp...I'm looking for something that is cleaner and no smudges...any suggestions?? The color that is close to her bridesmaid gowns are a deeper purple, like SU elegant eggplant.

StazOn has many colors ... Royal Purple and Vibrant Violet are the purples. Not sure how close they are to eggplant (probably not very).

Ranger Archival and VersaFine inks give crisp impressions and each has at least one purple color. Not sure if chain stores carry them but you should be able to find them online.

If you're stamping a significant quantity I suggest a reinker (for peace of mind + the mass-production of cards often means inkpads are left uncovered for longer than usual periods of time). If you have helpers, multiple pads are helpful.

Hope you find something that works for you!
