WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY AND CHALLENGE #87
AWW..COME ON THERE BRUTUS! HELP US OUT OR JUST SHOOT US!
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun!
This is my story!
1. Tee Hee! Lookee here! I got this awesome little chocolate bunny teapot from my friend Pat Smethers. She's said that she about flipped when she saw it, she kept her eye on it for quite some time. First it was $29.99, then reduced to $19.00 and then went all the way down to $5.00! Now DATS whut I'm talkin' bout! Snort! Just goes to show you, if you are persistent and patient you will be rewarded. However, sometimes, the lady before you will spend $19.00 and you're outa luck, Buck! Snort! I think she bought it around Easter last year cuz she said it gave her serious giggles for a year! By the time she packaged it up and spent the postage to get it to me, I am sure she was back up to $29.99! You shouldn't have Pat! But I am so glad you did! Thank YOU!!!!
2. When seeing this teapot, I was moved to write a little poem!
Meet Brutus, the Bunny
Who's just a smidge funny!
He's totally of his rocker,
I know! It's a shocker!
His mom, bless her heart,
It's been hard from the start!
And throughout the years,
She's been driven to tears!
There! Look at that! He peed on that log!
What is his problem? He's a wannabee dog!
Be quiet! You'll hear it! The most incredible moan,
It's the pleasure he gets from his big juicy bone!
He's been known to just hollar!
It's pink! Not a dog collar!
He's a disgrace to all rabbits,
with the most annoying of habits!
He hates those orange carrots
Gives them all to the ferrets!
And when there's work to be done,
To bring children some fun....
He just sits on his keester,
Ignores all that is Easter!
Can you see? Don't you see? Why Thumper and Peter,
Are completely convinced, he's a big Easter Cheater!
Awww...Come on There Brutus!
Help us out or just shoot us!
Look at me! Look at me! I'm not a big fake!!
Look at me! Did you see? Now I can shake!!
(That's a puppy dawg shake ifn' ever I saw one!)
3. So, here's the story, Mory! Mory is Brutus' best friend. He's a ferret and the recipient of many a carrot! (At least 42,000!) He's a little reserved, a little shy, not a *in your face* kinda guy! He's not quite sure how to handle this whole identity crisis for his friend, Brutus. Part of him wants his little buddy to be a dog but part of him loves his cute widdo bunny friend! One thing is for certain, he is tired of stressing about this dilema. That's where we come in!
4. With only about a week before Easter, we need to either convince Brutus to be a bunny and step up to the plate and help out at Easter. Or we need to convince him to leave that life behind permanently and buy a new dog house! So, depending on your most valued opinion of this whole deal, bring a bunny, an Easter basket, pink ribbon or a carrot or two. On the other hand, bring a fire hydrant, a collar, a dog house or a dog bone or two! And if you are the wishy washy type (like me!) then bring a doggie in a bunny costume! Snort! You know the drill!
If you are going for the Acardame Award Nomination this week and bring a Pig dressed as a Veloso Raptor, you have to come in the back door!

Oh my word this is quite a story...I am so confused! But I might have a solution. I might be to the party late this week...Eva is in her kindergarten play tomorrow..."The Story of Humpty Dumpty...Was he pushed or did he fall?" For real, that's the name of it. Hmmmm, Mothermark, did you write it?!

Speaking of looking for something.....does anyone know who knocked the carrot cake off the bunny trail???
Don't blame Mr. etsdas - he served a little piece of carrot cake (with a tiny scoop of French vanilla ice cream) last night, but he assured me it came from friends...
Here is my card - no carrots or bunnies. I think that over all Brutus will like being a dog!
Cindy, what a great poem. I sure hope the SCS techs have a solution for me and I can upload. I haven't been able to upload for...gasp a week. I'm trying to be patient, but after 42,000 minutes waiting. I really want to be able to upload. I'm going to make a card for today and hopefully be able to upload it.
The sentiment didn't photograph well it says:

Brutus was a bunny who thought he was a dog. Max was a Jack Russell who was always in a fog. Joan couldn't leave home without her favorite bone because if she ever did she would howl and moan. So these unlikely three met Tuesdays for group therapy.
After spending $42,000. dollars Brutus's Father began to holler! My son still lifts his leg to pee What's the use of group therapy? So just forget the analysis and let him be. If he wants to be a dog that's alright with me.
So Brutus and his buddies went out to play a game "A friend is one who knows you and loves you just the same"

Barthomolew has hopped along to join the fun, but he forgot to bring the Lindt bunny for company and eating. Oh well, at least he has some eggs in his basket to share around. If he hasn't eaten them all himself by the time he makes it into the TPT gallery.

Here I am late to the party, as usual, but it's been a while since I have been making cards so I am out of practice...and a whole year since I came to a party...I sure have missed out on a lot of fun...

I recently joined, and then had to miss a few weeks. DRAT!
My card is on my blog... HERE. (I will upload to gallery when I have more time, but now, since there isn't any cake to be had, I need to go clean. Double DRAT!)
Well for Heaven's sake!
I spent WAY too much time putting this challenge/uploading, etc, together, only to see that WITHOUT Big Butt Bertie on board ... I was a miserable failure!
My card did upload on my gallery page at scs ("salinelynn"), but I cannot figure out why it did not end up at the MMTPT87 location. And I gave up trying to "transfer" it there after scratching my head till it hurt! ;)
Darn it all. I hate spinning my wheels! AND ... my yorkie had such GOOD advice for Brutus.
Maybe you'll look me up ... check out the card, that had a mind of it's own .. and offer tips??
Being a newbie definitely has it's pitfalls!

You just have the wrong number on your card - should be 87 not 97. Then you will be all set...
