Default Owners of 'Roses in Winter'

To all those who own Roses in Winter, do you find the set versatile? I mean do you get different looks with the set? for e.g With Petal prints, the set works very well with different layouts & colors to achieve totally different looking cards and noone would think that they actually are the same stamps.

I know there are 800+ samples in the gallery for Roses in winter but I was wondering if I'd be stuck with making cards that look same but in different colors if I buy that set?

Appreciate your feedback.

I love the set! But I think that all of the projects that I do, look alike. But your mileage may vary.

I was just thinking about this the other day! I was thinking to myself "all the cards look about the same, but different in color and style" Until I saw a particular card. Like this card by: jsbrooketrout. There are so many awesome examples! I was looking for an example of the rock n roll technique that I saw the other day and can't find it. It was gorgeous too! I have RIW and I LOVE it! You won't go wrong getting it!

I find I've gotten some different looks. Trudee's cards are prime example of the different styles with the same set (thanks - they're gorgeous BTW!). If you are a scrapper, the set is awesome for that too.

Edited to add that this set was on my wish list for at least a year before I finally broke down and bought it and I haven't regretted it at all.

Here's what I love about Roses in Winter. You don't have to color in anything, just stamp and go, and you really can't ruin it. I am *so* not an artist, but everything I make with this set comes out beautiful.

Yes! I love the way you put it!

the little flower works beautifully with the roses, but by itself, you can do so much more!

If you believe most of your RIW cards are similiar, consider this. Your recipients see only the one beautiful card you sent to them, not the others that are similiar.

Love this set!

I love Roses in Winter, but good question on how different can you get it to look from one card to the next? I have somewhat neglected my RIW, originally I got it to do stuff for my sisters wedding and the stuff turned out beautifully.

I checked out all the links that were posted and they showed many different beautiful possiblilities, I added many to my favorites and will have to get RIW out soon!

Here I are some links to what I have done with it, becuase I have done different stuff from what has been posted, so with everyones links I think this set has been shown as versatile!

Roses in Winter with Fairies (I really like this one)

My First Card swp over a year ago, I can't believe how simple this was, it was before I had discovered SU! CS, I had just bought prefolded white cards at the store, so blah!

You girls are KILLING ME!! I have had my eye on this stamp set for sooooo long but felt that maybe it was a little too steep in price for me and the amount of different styles I would be able to acheive with it. But you are totally swaying me....my bank account does not thank you!! (In the CDN catalogue it is $41.95 which at today's exchange rate is equal to $36.53 US). What is it listed at in the US catalogue??

Actually my favourite card was the one done by Trudee during Jan VSN. I love it!!! I'm going to end up getting it on my next order, I just know it! THANKS you guys!!! Ha, ha!

I have thought about getting RIW since it came out. Everytime I see a sample I think "I HAVE to have this set!" The price has made me think twice (many times) but now, after seeing all these fantastic ideas, it will be on my next order. So, thanks to all you enablers out there.

It was one of my first sets, and still one of my favorites. It's true, even on a bad day you can make a beautiful card with this set. When you want to feel good, just pull it out.
