Drunken Scotch Technique
Hi, I'm new to this format. I saw a heart that used the Drunken Scotch Technique and I would like to try it. Can anyone explain how to do it?

Did you mean the 'drunken chalks' technique? that's the only 'drunk' technique I can think of.

Thanks! The technique probably uses the chalk plus Scotch's liquid adhesive, so I've started experimenting.

I went on a Stamping Cruise in 2006 and the instructor had forgotten the alcohol to use with an alcohol ink technique. One of the ladies had "smuggled" aboard some gin in her mouthwash bottle and was kind enough to share with us for the sake of art. This topic just brought back memories of that event.

There really is a technique called "The Drunken Scotch" technique! I googled it and found it referanced on a paper crafting blog - See the project with the heart posted on Feb 22, 2008...I'd like to learn it too! __________________

Drunken Scotch Technique
Hi Everyone,
I contacted Kat by email and asked her how she did this technique. Here is her reply incase any one wants to try it:
Hi Helen - Thanks for asking.... The Drunken Scotch technique is made using Scotch Clear Glue. Put a thick layer on your chipboard/grungeboard, while it is still wet put some drops of Alcohol in on it - I usually use two colors, and then hit it with your heat gun - it will give you a really cool effect.

Ah hahahaha!!!! I love it!!!! As soon as I saw this I thought "that sounds interesting. I must try this."
Helen9- don't feel embarrassed about this at all. Once on a craft forum I got stuck for ideas, so I made a post saying "I now officially hit a tree"- instead of saying "I have officially hit a wall."
Haha, so many people thought that I had actually had hit a tree and there was like a craziness that exploded on the forum because they thought that I had seriously hit a tree. Then, because it wasn't as cool as this forum, I was forever reminded about how I caused a major freak-out about hitting the tree.

Hmm, I wonder if this would work with something like Glossy Accents instead of the Scotch adhesive? Fun look! |

I think when you hit the glossy acents with the heat tool you get tiny bubbles ~ a Don Ho effect bwaahaahaa.
