CAS57 - A New & Different Shape~abilities {March 8, 2010)
What is CAS?
CAS is an acronym for Clean and Simple.
There are different ways people view CAS. It is very subjective. There is no list of rules that will fit everyones personal definition. The following are possible guidelines, only. Please do not feel afraid of playing in the CAS challenge or debate with yourself if youve created a CAS card. If it is a CAS card to you, put CAS in the keyword box.
1. Clean: the design is uncluttered with lots of white or open space. Simple: having a clear focal point without a lot going on to detract from it.
OR
2. simple in design regardless of the number of embellishments or how long it takes to color, stitch or to use a special technique
OR
3. can be copied and mass produced fairly quickly usually without a lot of coloring, layers, embellishments, tools and/or techniques
Today's CAS challenge: a new & different kind of shape-abilities.
Layer 2 different shapes on your card while keeping it CAS. I used an oval on a Top Note die cut. Our design team and guest designer have unique and inspiring ideas. Be sure to check them out and leave some love
Uploading: Remember the keyword is without spaces. Use a comma between keywords with a space after each comma.
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!

Good morning. Here's my card for this challenge with a few others combined in the description. It's 75 here and I'm going to be putting on my gardening gloves as soon as I get this posted. Thank you for looking, God bless, and YAY! Spring is finally here!
Just wanted to say to the CAS team - thanks for hosting this challenge every week. I find it often helps me get out of a crafting lull and gives me great ideas on how to get crafting! I enjoying seeing what everyone comes up with.

This was a great idea for a challenge! I used an ATC I already had that fit the challenge; for the second card it was a good chance to use my new MS cupcake punch PINK TREE
such a fun challenge-new and unique! had fun with this and made a FAther's Day card (I'm early, I know...but I had these images asking to be inked!) Thanks Dad
