Several days ago I was looking at someone's blog and did not bookmark it. She was showing a new product similar to stickles. There were four products. A pearl, glass glaze, glitter and writer. In bigger containers than stickles. The pearl product you could put on was paper and the drops would harden like half pearls and then pop them off and use on your projects. You could even put them on fabric and they would stay. I think is started with diva but can't swear to it. I sure would like to have some. If anyone knows about them let me know.
I think you're talking about Suzanne Dean's blog - she was demonstrating the Viva Decor Pearl Pens. Susana's Custom Art & Card Design sells them HERE. It seems that Suzanne's blog post was pretty successful because it appears that Susana is nearly out of stock. But she's expecting another order this week.
If you need the product right away, I saw an ad in a craft magazine that Hobby Lobby carries Viva Decor products, too, but I don't know if they carry the Pearl Pens. Hope this helps!

Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for.
Viva Decor make some wonderful products! You girls need to be clamouring for Croco and Tera paints as well! I know Precious Metal paint and Pardo jewelry clay is already available in the US (think those may be the things that are available in HL) but I don't think the Croco and Tera paints have made it over to your side of the Pond yet. Now while I love Ranger products, I have to say that the Viva Croco paint is just waaaay better than the Distress crackle paints and the Tera is great fun since you can either leave it alone to dry to a teracotta finish or you can aim a heat gun at it and make it bubble.
These two ATCs are done with Croco (the turquoise one) and Tera (the copper one). The copper one has Precious Metal paint on there too - this stuff has the best metallic effect and coverage!

Well Joanne just send the stuff across and we will get to work. Your atc's are great. Can't wait to get my hands on some new stuff. We always need more stuff.

Mind you, it usually works the other way round - we Europeans are looking at the cool stuff available in the US and wondering when we'll be able to get it! If Susana's store is already stocking other Viva products, maybe that's a good place to start asking if she can get this stuff, she may be able to source it through the same supplier and if people are asking, she'll know there's a demand. The jars are quite big on the Croco and Tera, what I did was get together with a friend and swap half jars so we got more variety for our money!
hi all! i have the video of the viva decor pens up as well - suzanne and i both did them for susana's store. let me tell you i am a ranger girl BUT..ALL the viva products are hands down aweosme! the pens do not leave the pointy tip like ranger's do for one. the glitter stays dimensional instead of going flat. and i hve some ideas i am working on for the precious metals paints that i JUST played with a bit ago but not perfected yet!
as for the croco and the terra - INCREDIBLE stuff and YES let susana know what other items you want her to work on getting into the US. i have plans for some tera as soon as it hits american soil i can tell ya!!! in addition the Inka gold is an incredible product too and that will be featured in me & suzanne's upcoming mini magazine out April 1.

The Precious Metal paints work really well with the Croco, too. I just made this pendant with a shaped inchie coated in Croco and then sponged over with Precious Metal so I didn't get full coverage and it gives a short of shell-like finish. Precious Metal works really nicely on glass too and I've read it's fab on polymer clay but I haven't tried that yet.
angel north your pieces are bsolutely AMAZING!!!! oh i can't wait to play more! i already have the croco to play with but i do not have the base coat stuff - do you HAVE to use that? i have also been asked to do some videos for PolyClayPlay nd will be playing with the precious metals and clay once all the stuff arrives - maybe by this weekend! the terra has not come in yet but i am so hoping Susana gets it soon!
there are some DEFINITE supply issues with viva decor right now so products will still be difficult to get for awhile but from what i am hearing it should get better by the end of spring....
i already have the croco to play with but i do not have the base coat stuff - do you HAVE to use that?
You only need the base coat if you are going to be painting onto glass or another non-porous surface. For cardstock, chipboard or wood you can just put the Croco straight on there. You do need a thick layer, I didn't have a spatula handy but found a craft stick was fine for scooping and spreading. The thicker the layer, the bigger/deeper the cracks. You can do a layer of acrylic paint first if you want to and the colour will show through the cracks. On the ATC I rubbed acrylic paint into the cracks once everything was dry but on the pendant I just used black acrylic paint on the inchie before the Croco and what you see is the effect that gave - plenty of contrast.
Hi all, this is a great thread and I'm loving the products, but could someone please explain what Croco is?
Suspense is killing me.
Thanks, Yvonne.
It's a one-step crackle paint Yvonne. Kind of like the Distress paints made by Ranger but it's much, much thicker in texture, more of a paste than a paint, really. Depending how thick you apply it, the crackle is bigger and deeper. It's made by a company called Viva Decor who also make the other products discussed on this thread (which is how I came to kind of sidetrack the original question - sorry!).
Thanks for that Joanne. Do you know where I could get the Croco, Tera and the other 4 products that the op mentioned?
I really appreciate you help.
I can feel another purchase coming on.
Cheers, Yvonne.

Because some of the products are popular with polymer clay artists, I know Poly Clay Play have some Viva products in stock (including the Precious Metal paint and the Pearl Pens but not the Croco or Tera as far as I can see). Viva's US website also lists Hobby Lobby as a distributor - not sure which things they have although I have read that Pardo Jewelery clay is available there.
Thanks for that Joanne.
Since shipping is expensive to Australia, I'll keep looking until I find everything in one place.
Cheers, Yvonne. x
Sorry Yvonne, I hadn't noticed you were in Australia - I should know better than to assume that people here are in the US since I'm not there myself! I just did a quick Google and didn't turn up any Aussie suppliers. You could try contacting Viva directly to see if they have plans to supply anyone - they have a contact page on their web site here and my guess is that someone will have enough English to be able to understand and reply to a message.
hi everyone!
i work pretty closely with Viva and so here is some info for everyone.
hobby lobby - pardo clay
poly clay play - pardo clay, precious metal paints, pealr and gloss pens, inka gold
susana's custom art & card design - all the types of pens, modeling grass (played with mine this morning to prep for a video - very neat stuff), satine, tera, croco & 3D glitter gel.
above rubies studio - all pens and the viva alcohol inks (however these may only be included with her kits i really don't know how she is doing it yet.)
NOT ALL OF THESE WILL BE IN STOCK YET. a good bit of this stuff will not be available in the US until late april or may. what stock IS here is somewhat limited except the pardo and precious metals. i am pushing for fero at SCACD too - we'll see if i was successful.
i am trying to get videos done as fst as i can since there are so many questions - cross your fingers pezzy the wonder tot naps today!

Wow your ATC cards are gorgeous. I just went over to your blog and you do stunning work.

I couldn't STAND it! So I went to Susana's website and ordered some of the pens: 3Pearl, 3 Paper, and 1 Glass gel.
I'd like to get some of the Croco and Tera too, maybe next month.
I really like the idea of being able to make my OWN pearl embellishments. As someone in one of the videos said" Once you use the manufactured pearls then they are gone, so you have to buy more" or words to that effect. Nice thing about them is the versatility of use- on cloth (apparently permanent);paper, metal, etc.,etc.
Thanks so much for bringing this product to everyones attention.
Are these pens like the Sakura Jelly Roll pens or the Copic at you glitter pens? I like those pens, but they leave a line as you color in with them. Comments from anyone who can give me a comparison.

no these are not actually pens like a ball point pen - they are closer to a stickles type thing but alot better.....
I ordered from Susana (who by the way ships SUPER fast, and sends some extra goodies), and WOW! The pens are simply perfect, they are a dream come true and I can't wait to use them on some cards (only had time to play with them)
You can't go wrong with these pens, trust me.
