Hello stampers! This letter is bringing you the information you need for this year’s Stamping in the U.P. It is getting closer!
1. Shoebox and regular swaps
Shoebox Swap
You design and make one card. In the shoebox, you will put all of the supplies to make that card. Be sure to provide: paper cut to size, ribbons and embellishments, stamps and inks or markers as needed. Everyone will have their own adhesive and scissors. You should also include an instruction card. We will rotate around the tables to make the cards. We all make mistakes occasionally, so a couple extra pieces of paper would be helpful. This year we have more stamping time available (many have asked for this) so we will be making more cards! To help those who may not have time to complete all cards, please have instructions and maybe some small plastic bags to take the card pieces home.

Regular Swap
You will need to make these cards at home to swap at the event. These will be full cards not just card fronts. They do not have to be exclusively SU (StampinUp). Please use a post-it note to put your name on the back. This year the regular swap will take place on Friday evening so they should be done before then. No envelopes are needed.

2. Challenges
On Friday night we will have two challenges. They will include a Surprise! Bag challenge and a color challenge. You will need to bring: a stamp to fit a piece
2 �” by 3” ,your choice of adhesive, inks and stamp sets. You may wish to bring some favorite embellishments to make your challenge cards extra special.
3. Items to bring for the weekend:
Adhesive/tape
Inks, coloring items (markers, chalks)
Tools,(scissors, paper cutter, punches)
Challenge materials such as special papers, embellishments,
Basic cardstock colors
Extra stamping for working on
Snacks or drinks (you would need to provide your own cooler) Coffee will be provided.
A camera is useful for pictures of cards you need to complete at home or to capture a challenge favorite!
4. Used Stamp Sale
Several people have asked about the used stamp sale. Space for used stamps will be available in the large meeting room. There will be time on Friday before supper and again following the Challenges for purchasing used stamps. Each individual is responsible for her stamps and money.
5. New Items for Sale
Again this year Joan (Joan’s Garden) and Sharon (notimetostamp) will have new products and stamping goodies to purchase. They will be setting up in the small room across the hall. If you have a special purchase that you would like to make, it would be best to contact Joan or Sharon ahead of time. Here are their blog addresses:

6.Dirty Gertie Game Time
On Saturday, we will be playing the Dirty Gertie game. All you need to do is bring 3 wrapped handmade cards. Wrap them so only you know they are yours! We will play an exchange game with the packages of cards. Fun for all!
7.Meals
The registration fee covers lunch on Saturday. All other meals are on your own. Many of us do meet in the dining room for supper on Friday and breakfast on Saturday.
