F4A1 � Textures, Colors & Patterns � 02/25/10
What??? F4A1??? That stands for Free for All #1 � that�s right, my friends!! A brand spankin� NEW challenge!!!
Why the change, you may ask? Well, all of us LSC Hostesses got together (okay, well not maybe PHYSICALLY, but pm-ing is a wonderful thing!) and decided we needed to shake it up. The LSC has long outworn its initial intent � to allow us to create even if we didn�t have much to work with (and we ALL know that we DO now!).
Soooo�.. we have decided to try something BRAND new and FUN!! We call it the �Free for All� challenge, which will take the place of the LSC. What does that mean, exactly?? Well, basically it is more of an �anything goes� type of challenge. One week it may be a combo sketch/color challenge; the next week it may be a technique, an inspiration or any sort of combination of any sort of thing we come up with. The BEST part is that it is going to be FRESH and NEW every week!!! Kinda like Forest�s mama says, ��you never know what you�re gonna get!�
Without further adieu, here is our very FIRST �Free for All� challenge. The challenge today is to use textures (think embossing folders, ribbons, and/or flowers, etc. � most embellishments fit into this category!), and at least ONE color that is one you don�t NORMALLY use (be sure to identify it in your card description). The third part, which I am leaving OPTIONAL is to use some patterned paper in your creation. Easy enough, right??? Now, GO GET �EM!!!

Uploading: Remember the keyword is without spaces. Use a comma between keywords with a space after each comma.
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!
Need help linking a card? Follow these instructions!
1. Open 2 windows: One window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Got to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
You�re done!

Ooooh, this sounds cool. And, I think I get to use the remnant of the lace doily I cut up yesterday, once I can work out what colour to use  .

I know on Thursdays I used supplies...but rarely limited myself! This challenge is going to be fun. I like that the guidelines will change every week....makes us look forward to it even more!

HAD to play in the first ever Anything Goes Challenge!!! I challenged myself to come up with texture WITHOUT a bow since I almost never go bowless....and this is what I came up with:
