See through ruler

Recently I saw a video where Becky Higgins demonstated her top three tools she uses everyday. One was a flexible, see-through ruler which she showed a clever trick on how to place sticky letters on a page. I want that ruler!! She doesn't mention it, but it was wide and see-through and seemed flexible. She made mounting lettering with that ruler look seamless!!! Does anyone know which ruler it is?;)

It sounds like a ruler from the C-Thru Ruler company. I've found them at Michael's in the drawing aisle.

I use one made by EK Success, I find it is a very handy thing to have about the place. It is called a Centering Ruler, here's the blurb about it:

You can also find a clear, flexible centering ruler in the quilting section of most craft stores (much less expense vs. Tim Holtz and EK Success).

I have the Tim Holtz rule, which I purchased from Michaels with a 40% off coupon, and I LOVE it........................use the ALL the time and if it broke today, I'd go buy another one!!!

I also use the Tim Holtz ruler and I love it. One of the best crafting purchases I ever made. I don't know about the flexibility. The ruler I have is hard plastic. Tim has several features o this gorgeous ruler including centering measurements, paper piercing holes, metal edge & it's gridded.

I LOVE my Tim Holtz ruler....

Just so you know, the Tim Holtz one has a line of holes to make perfectly straight and even paper piercings (something I'm challenged with :rolleyes.

I don't know if any of the others have this or not.

I have one called Zero Hero that has the above features and is so light and flexible. Bought at Michaels and the regular price was very inexpensive -- less than $3. With a coupon it was very inexpensive. I use it each time I make a card. I use it to center the back of the card when I stamp my initials on the bottom of the back.

I {heart} my Tim Holtz clear ruler!

I've used a large clear ruler from Fiskars for years, but it is now delegated to a position at my cutting station. My TH is the perfect size, love the tight edge, the holes, the ease of reading the lines ... everything and stays in the "get it now" location at the stampin' table. ;)

I just purchased one of these rulers on clearance at Micheals' craft store for
2.99 regularly 6.99, I believe. Now, I can review everything everyone has to say
about it again. It was on my wish list. There are more Tim Holtz items on clearance at
Micheals.

I have both rulers, the flexible clear zeroing ruler with holes. I also have the Tim Holtz ruler and like them both for different reasons. I like the zeroing feature very much on my flexible ruler. I use the holes to space for spots for embellishments sometimes. I like the Tim Holtz ruler better for paper piercing. I also like the strength of the straight edge in the Tim Holtz ruler when I need that. Doesn't hurt to have both kinds! You tool-a-holics know what I mean!

I love my clear rulers - however, they get soooo much use, that the grid lines are wearing off....may have to invest in a new one (or 2!)

Are you crafting at my table??
I, too, have a ton of rulers. Steel ones, Tim's, C-Thru, T Square, etcetera. I love all my rulers for different reasons, but if you're looking for a flexible ruler it was probably the C-Thru Zero Centering ruler. If you go here and click on DV Tools (lower left) then sort by rulers & squares you'll find them as the last two items. I'd give you a direct link, but sheesh, this site is *not* very user friendly!:rolleyes:

I have numerous rulers made by the C-Thru Ruler Company and have used them since college (some 30-ish years ago). I have 2 foot-long ones that live at my kitchen desk (why 2? because someone else always has one of them). I have an 18-inch one in my craft room and a 6" one that I carry with my craft supplies. I gave my daughter a 12-inch "Mom's ruler" when she left for college. She says she uses it all the time (she's an architecture student) and that people are always asking to borrow it. I like that there is no edge on it that I have to guess at where my measurement is exactly or to throw my cutting or drawing off a little (for me that always seems to happen) but I am intrigued by the Tim Holtz ruler for paper piercing - it appears to have the spacing that I've strived for with other products but have never seemed able to acheive.

I have the Martha Stewart 13" see thru ruler and have never really utilized it. It was one of those "have to have" things and now I don't know why. Tried it a few times and it confused me...had to keep lifting and double checking where I was. Maybe it is the color of the lines that make it hard?? They are the MS logo color, blue green.
