What are you making for Easter?
Now that V-Day is over, I'm onto thinking about Easter crafts and cards. So what are you making/creating for Easter this year?

I just got my new Verve set (Everlasting Life) and I'm anxious to start using that. I have some orders already for Easter cards, so I'd better get busy. I think I'll also make more of my little treat boxes....everyone loves them and they're fun to make. Here's some of my V-Day boxes: Valentine Boxes by kitkat55 at Splitcoaststampers
I can just see them in fun pastel colors with bunnies, eggs, duckies, etc.!
Looking forward to everyone's ideas,
Kathy

I bought SU's Chocolate Bunny Stamp so that I can make that card with the two rabbits when one says "My butt hurts" (and has its tail bitten off [using the scallop punch] and the other one says "What?" (and has its ears bitten off a bit).

Easter Card with SU Rabbit
Michelle - Where did you see the card with the two bunnies with pieces taken out? I have purchased the SU bunny too. I haven't seen that card anywhere. It sounds really cute.

I started my Easter cards last night, or at least some of them. Doing a quilted egg with SU's Shades of Spring. Also have the bunny stamp and doing some of those too. Found the tutorial on the boxes, think they are great and will be fun in the grandkids Easter baskets.:p

I received a joke with the same picture and when I saw the SU Bunny it was my first thought. But. . . . how do you make the bunnies face each other?

This isn't the card but the email I received quite a few years back.

I've already started with the SU Chocolate bunny with a bite off the butt and the ears. The grandkids are going to love it.

I've been using a mirror image stamp. It took some playing with it to get it right but it's well worth it.

Okay, I give up! What is a mirror image stamp? I'd love to be able to make the bunnies for an Easter card. Thanks!

I think it is just a large solid image, like a large solid square (or whatever shape). You ink up the bunny stamp, and stamp it on the rubber of the mirror image stamp. Then you stamp the mirror image stamp (which now has the image of the bunny on it) on paper. It doesn't work all that well for me - the mirror image comes out blurrier.

Hey ladies! Another way you can reverse the Easter bunny if you don't have the Mirror Image rubber stamp is to stamp on a piece of acetate, then stamp that on your card stock. You will stamp your regular stamp beside it, or whatever, and that gives you the reverse of your images. HTH!

I saw the cutest basket on Becky Fekin or is it Feakin?(spelling?) Blog, she made it for valentines, using Spellbinders. It would make an equally adorable Easter gift.

Here is the link to where I saw the card. Check out her other posts as she made several cute cards with the SU bunny stamp.

I found a really cute bunny treat bag somewhere- made with punches for the feet, three petals of a scallop punch for the pawe holding a scallop flower that says happy easter. you fill the bag with colorfull treats and tie it with a ribbon and and the bunny head to the top... I used a tiny pink heart ( cut from 5 petal flower) for the nose. Came out really cute.
Anyone have a clue where to find a mirror image stamp? I've casually looked but never found one...

Q. Whats the best way to catch a unique rabbit?
A. You nique up on him.
Q. How do you catch a tame rabbit?
A. Tame way, unique up on it.
Love the two bunnies together - so funny. I hope you'll post back here when you get them done. If you have the SU set, A Good Egg, here's a funny little card I made last year I called You Crack Me Up.
I just finished a cutie of a card from Pure Innocence image, here, I call Hey Chickie Lady. Love that Heather Ellis image - perfect for Easter.

I was asking around about the mirror image stamp and had no luck finding anything like it in town. Someone did suggest I try my Brayer. You can in the stamp, then roll the Brayer on it then onto the paper. I haven't had time to try it yet though. Since the bunnie stamp is so small it might work.
