Exclamation Sizzix Big Kick Need Help!!

Hi, Ladies
I have Sizzix Big Kick and a cuttlebug. I purchased the Texturz Plates from Stampin Up. Can I use my Sizzix Big Kick????????? If so please advise me of the steps or do I have to purchase the Big Shot which I don't want to do. I tried to use the Texturz Plates last night in Sizzix Big Kick and it was to loose or to tight that I could not turn the handle. What am I doing wrong???? Please help me.

Thanks.

The Big Kick and Big Shot are essentially the same machine. You should be able to use the sandwich recommended for the Big Shot.

If you look on the platform that came with your Big Kick, it should show you which tab to use and the sandwich too.

I think the texturz plates need the special pads that come in a texturz kit and then just follow the instructions on the multi-purpose platform.

You do have to have a rubber silicone pad, and then another pad. Then you make the sandwich on your platform. HTH.

You will need the rubber silcone pad and the impressions pad.
Remember: the textures plates are not as deeply embossed as like the folders are.

You use this sandwich:

Multi Purpose Platform (MPP), Tab 1
Texturz plate with the design you want face up
Paper face down
Silicone rubber
Impressions pad

Run through Big Kick/Shot

A tip: Once you run it through, don't reverse and run it through again. The paper will often slip a little and then your design will be blurry. Another tip is if you want a deeper impression, add a cardstock shim or two. The tighter the sandwich, the deeper the impression, but do NOT force it through if it is too tight or you could break your machine. You want it tight but not too tight. If you want a less obvious impression, loosen the sandwich by taking away the shim OR switching to MPP No Tabs.

You can also spritz your cardstock with water or rubbing alcohol before making the sandwich. That will help make a deeper impression (rubbing alcohol would evaporate more quickly than water)
