Default Kandee Hot Fix Applicator

Hi
This is my first attempt at getting help from the helpful viewers/readers of the SCS galleries.
I have the above tool and have the worst luck every time I try to use it. 99% of the time, the crystal or pearl will NOT come out of the tool. I use pressure; I dont use pressure; I wait 2 minutes; I wait 10 seconds, etc etc. I believe I have tried everything and it still fights me. I feel like a fool! Ive watched all of the youtube videos on this applicator. ugh
What am I doing wrong!!!!!!
I will appreciate any an all guidance. I know that there are a lot of ladies/gentlemen out there that think this tool is perfect and I would love to think like that too.
HELP!
Thanks,
Lori, [email protected]

Lori,

I have the exact same problems that you do. And I have tried the same things you have. I hate the thing and I have given up on it.

I hope someone else can help you! Sorry I haave no suggestions for you but I wanted to let you know that you are not alone.

Several months ago I did a demonstration on a hot fix tool. I had the same problem. I found that if I held the tool at a slight angle to the jewel it didn't stick in the tool but it did adhere to the project I was working on. I also kept my project (in this case a tote bag) on a flat surface.

That's what worked for me.

Thank you ladies. Its good to see Im not alone! I will keep trying for a little while longer. I'll just have to take breathers in between so I dont throw it somewhere I was wondering if glue gets into the attachement easily and that is why the crystal/pearl doesnt come out when you put it on the paper, etc.?

There's a little groove in the tips of mine...I stick a pin in there and hold it so the crystal or pearl is held to my project while I pull the heat tool off.

Yes, thank you. I do that too. It sounds like this tool really doesnt work that way its advertised which is a bummer because I realy liked the idea. I still use but def need the needle to make the crystals/pearls stick.
