Frog Sentiments - ribbit, croak, blurp...
With the Unfroggettable set coming out in the Spring Mini, I thought we could share our froggy sayings!
Here's a few:
It's not easy being green. -Kermit the Frog (for a get well card?)
Even frogs get wet when it rains. (for an encouragement card?)
Wow! You really made a splash! (congratulations card?)
Let's do lunch - your pad or mine?
Happy Birthday to a real Prince!
Anyone else?

Feelin' froggy?
Ok-I have NO idea where this came from, so maybe it won't make sense to anyone. My husband uses this term to mean 'nutty' or willing to take a risk. I've been around him a long time, so maybe it's just a 'him' saying... But I would definately use it. I think it has a sexy connotation as well.
Don't sweat the petty stuff, and don't pet the sweaty stuff!
I found this one in my list of quotes, and think it would go well with a frog stamp too

Since we do lots of cards for kids some of these are geared more towards them. Some are a little weird but then I didn't write them (or they could be worse) , I just saved the list when it was emailed to me.
May all your warts be small ones.
My frog broke down and had to be toad.
Old frogs never die, but they do croak.
FROG PARKING ONLY - - - all others will be toad.

What do frogs order in restaurants? French flies.
What's green and red and goes 120 mph? A frog in a blender. (kind of sick,
huh? - but the boys would love it)

First thing that popped into my head: Wouldn't this make a really cool GEL card? You could put a frog on the outside, then add a funky green/red gel inside! GROSS! |

See the notes in my list (the boys would like it)? This goes in that catagory for sure, if they are like the seven boys I grew up with anyway!

Exactly what I was thinking! There were six girls vs. two boys in my family. But we had lots of boy cousins who loved frogs and all things gross. |

I did this one with Hoppy Easter last March with Easter in mind. It would work just as good for the new frog set coming out.

I bought this stamp to go w/my froggie stamps. I know it's not a saying, more like a poem/wish, but you could free write on the inside or print off on the computer, and I LOVE it!!

hmmmm not sure how to use this but something to do with LEAP year sayings? When is Leap year again?

Anna,
You must be psychic--again! Just this morning I did a search in the forums for frog sayings and didn't find anything useful! I have a frog stamp I want to use but nothing "snappy" to use with it. It is unusual for me to do cute or whimsical cards and I was afraid I would lose my motivation to use the frog if I couldn't find some good sayings---and then I find this thread tonight. Way to go, girl!
Thanks---and everyone, please keep those frog sayings coming. I find this thread ribbeting---err, make that "riveting" and toadally engrossing. |
