I'm with ya Jeanne!! I pulled some buckles out to put on cards for a swap, then immediately put them back in the tin! How sad is that!!! Anyway, I hope to play.
Oh, yeah! Hoarder here, too! I'm not sure why that is, except I think because the whole kit is a high-priced item, these seem like an expensive item to use on cards and I only want to put them on special ones. That is, in fact, not true. (in US value) If you figure the brads are worth about $4.00 for 100, then the other pieces of hardware are approximately $.17 each, less than a piece of card stock.
Another reason I know that I don't use them a lot is that I teach a weekly class of 15 or more senior ladies, who usually will do 2 of each card, so I just don't have enough hardware in 1 style to go around (about 8 each in the box).
For those of you who don't own the hardware, a soda can pop top tab can be substituted.
Here are a few of the many samples from the gallery:
If you want to see more, just seach for pop top - (that search will also bring up some other items, so you'll have to look through some extra stuff to find the samples).
I also wanted to add....thanks everyone for making last week's challenge so great with so much participation. I had such a busy week that I only was able to peek at a few of the cards, but what I saw was awesome and I can't wait to go through them all. I can't wait to see what you all come up with this week!
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I confess!!!! I confess. I have all THREE tins and love to look at them. I did use some on my Christmas cards this year and actually am going to give some up for a SAB class I am doing next week. I have three S10 clubs going each month, so I don't have enough to go around on those projects.............Can't wait to play!
I just revised this card this morning and reposted it. It uses HH so it fits the challenge even though I didn't put it in the keyword! I like to use the hardware whenever I can!

Thanks Julia for making me use my hodgepodge!!! I really love the way it looks and I don't understand my "hoarding" tendency for these!! Great challenge!
Here's mine.... may still be pending!

OK! I have been hoarding my hardware!! While it looks so pretty in the neat little blue box, it looks even better on a card. Thanks for this challenge today!
My Example
I hoarded mine for about 6 months and then I thought to myself "Why did you pay $27 for something you just look at?" Stupid me! Now I use it on most of my project, I am almost ready for a new tin!!
Love the hardware!! And I too, am a horder. I use it, but never give those cards to anyone! I have done a couple in the past, one I am using in my workshops this month (totally cased from Michelle Fischer in On Stage). Melody, I love the pop-top idea (shhhh...won't tell my customers, I want them to buy the HH!). Will upload later, gotta run and serve lunch at school, Kerney
I used some hph on a candle. I was also a hoarder until earlier this month. I decided that toys are meant to be played with, not left in the packaging!
Heres mine! Love the hodgepodge! I hourd cuz I dont want to use it up so fast cuz I love it! I used the antique brass set on this card! Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Hi,
wnated to add my photos, they are in my gallery. I can't figure out how to get them in my message here? I see it says to "add your link", but I don't know how....HELP!!!! thanks a bunch!
I'm a hoarder--just got my 3rd hodgepodge hardware kit (gotta have all 3 colors!), but I just love to open the boxes and admire! I guess I better get to work!
