I just bought MS holiday punches for $2.39 each at Michaels 2 are edge punches; 2 are corner punch around the page and one is a 2 piece cardinal punch. I could not pass these up. The manager said that if there is anything that we want M's to carry, then we need to email their corporate office. My M's has not had any new Sizzix dies in years and no Bigz. If anyone is interested in seeing these items in their local store--email corporate. I am on my way to do that now.
I found the most ADORABLE MS punch at Michaels today - it's a little mug of hot cocoa. The sticker said that it was $13, and I really didn't want to spend that much, but I took the punch to the cash register, and it rang up as $3!!! There were a lot of other holiday punches that were on clearance - I would check out your local Michaels!!

My Mike's has a bunch of MS stuff in a clearance section but because it's a smaller store and understaffed, and they just got a bunch of new merchandise in for Valentine's/St. Patty's/Springtime, they haven't bothered to give any indication at all to the prices of the MS stuff. They have the stuff plus a bunch of other holiday stuff in a clearance section but not one thing is marked. I've been in a hurry and didn't feel like bothering with the whole "what's this price?" stuff, but I doubt that they'll bother to mark anything at this point. If people really want it, they'll go through the hassle of trying to find out the price. Would be nice if they actually marked the items, though.
Yeah, I got one at Mike's on Sunday for around $3, but the rest that they had on the same aisle for the same price were NOT marked down. Even though MS punches were on sale, they rang up for regular price. Figured that out when I got home and need to go back in to fix their bait and switch. So ladies, watch the registers to make sure they ring up correctly!

thanks for the heads up!
I live in Canada, but i'm making a trip to the Michaels in Washington on Fri...
so hopefully they have some great deals left for me!!!
My Michaels doesn't normally have any this late in the game, but I was able to stop by another one tonight and found 2 Punch Around the Page sets for $5 each. Nothing was labelled as 80% off (it never is), but an employee was standing there and told me about it. I was pretty thrilled!
Am I the only one that wishes they'd get a price scanner at Michaels? The way they clearance things is a real pain.
My friend and I were there last week and there were signs everywhere - 60% off, 70% off, 80% off. It was anybody's guess which percentage anything was, or even what the original price was. None of the %-off signs were specific.
In fact, they had a whole aisle of nothing but ribbon that had a huge 80%-off sign plastered on it. We assumed that superceded the $1/roll sign (you know how faithful they are about changing clearance signs), so we picked up a bunch. I was a little bothered that what I thought was going to be $0.40 ended up being $1 at the register. It's just the principle of the thing ...
