Hi! I'm in Santa Barbara, CA, and have been card making seriously for about a year. Six months ago my man was wonderful and cleared out a place for me to have a craft space of my own. It's very small (ie: can't turn around - not kidding), but I'm very grateful for it!! Now I'm actually thinking of putting some of my stuff "out there" for the rest of the world to see (gulp). And the only New Year's resolution I made was to start entering challenges, contests, etc and to actually start communicating with other crafters. I feel like there aren't many folks in this area into this, and I'm ready to chat with other paper-obsessed peeps!!
Hello and welcome, what a great man you have.Dont feel bad.I too have a very small space.I learned to organized all my stuff through all these wonderfull talented ladies here at SCS.Your going to have lots of fun here.Too bad I live on the other side of CA,(Small town Ceres).
Thanks to all for the replies! I was going to try some challenges, maybe some swapping, but I'm having a hard time replying to a few of the swaps (I have already "subscribed"). Does it just take a bit of time for things to work, or is there some other trick?
Cheers!

Hi and Welcome, I have a TON of challenges I just updated and I list them on my sidebar of my blog. They are listed by the day so you can see easily when the challenge is due. Hope you find it helpful! Good luck and have fun!
Yeah! I love this place! I feel like I'm meeting all kinds of "my people". I also just wanted to say that I'm so happy to be crafting today. Last week was a six day work week, so after loads of laundry, housecleaning, blah, blah, blah, and a lucky break on work today (nothing to do tonight), I can finally get crazy with the glue. Oh, and my new Big Kick! Hope you are all having a great day too!

Hi l!
I've just visited this forum. Happy to get acquainted with you. Thanks.
Welcome! Don't worry about the room. I don't have a room anymore. I took over the dining room and it's pretty small. We have a table in the room we are in too that has been taken over.

Hi Californian. I'm paper-obsessed, even have a store rack to store it in. Welcome to SCS. I just joined to post today. I love Split Coast.
