This ain’t no picnic we’re on today…
Welcome to the MMTPT 74 this week. We’re hoping that da Mudder will be back soon, but Bertie and Lil have done a great job organising a cover rota – I feel privileged to be able to hostess today.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas celebrating with family and friends.
I saw this teapot on eBay months ago, and put it in my watch list. I took so long trying to decide whether it would pour well or not that all fourteen of them sold – but luckily I’d saved the image .
The bears are out in force today, but it’s no teddy-bears picnic. If you’re a teddy-bear you’d better come in disguise. A propos of disguises, I just had to get Happy Camper when I had some extra money - DH's favourite mug at my dad's house is now so old it's cracked and crazed, but it's from Yellowstone Park, and shows a bear with antlers tied onto his head carrying a sign saying *Feed Me, I am Not a Bear*. I don't usually buy any stamps unless I see a lot of use for them, but I had to make DH a bear card with this - and surprisingly, I've got a good bit of use out of the set in other ways.
Instead we are looking for the big bad bears who live down in the woods full-time. I think Polar Bears count as big and bad, even though Christmas is behind us now there may still be some hanging around…
We’re looking for trees and forests, woods and glades…jungles even…but NO Arctic scenes, there’s more than enough cold weather around in real life. So if polar bears come along today, I think they must be on vacation away from home.
I’ve got a lovely honey-glazed ham with cloves, and some honeycomb icecream; some mead for those happy to have something a bit stronger than tea to drink. What other bear-treats are you going to bring along?
See you down in the forest – remember to use MMTPT74 as your keyword so that we can find you in the gallery.
In real life, it's 5 in the morning here, but I was lying awake in bed, and rather than switch the radio on, I came up to post this - but I won't be around for another few hours. See y'all later
This is one cool teapot Sabrina. I love the rustic feel and robust colors. Very nice. My husband loves log cabins and this makes me think of that. Thank you for hostessing. Mmmm ham with cloves. Yum. Pineapple too? See you there girl.
Lisa
HI Sabrina - great challenge - I could not 'bear' not to come to this TeaParty - LOL! I will play over the next few days - giving the bears time to settle in and fill up on scraps before I get there - I think I will bring a Lemon Meringue Pie - how does that sound - I hope it makes it through customs! LOL! Thanks Sabrina for hosting - this is very KOOL! God bless you!

this looks like it will be a blast Sabrina..I definately will be here. Love your card. It is just adorable. And who can turn down Lovely Linda's lemon meringue pie (my favorite)
Glad you could host this week Sabrina. I had fun making my card, because I have this phobia about being in the woods, long story about bear scare that goes waaaaay back. Anyway, it was fun imagining we could live with them.

MMTPT74 should get you in the right gallery. I wasn't awake enough at 5 in the morning to notice that I'd put the wrong keyword on MY cards, although I did list the right one in the text.
Off on a bear hunt to try to find you. Sorry about the mix-up.
Here's mine! Thanks for hosting Sabrina! Love the teapot. I have the same one. LOL!

Lovely teapot and sample card Sabrina! Wish you had been able to snag it from ebay. Maybe it will return one day. I am bringing honey snickerdoodles. Thanks for hostessing our fun teaparty today! Here is mine
Thanks for hosting the tea party today, Sabrina! What a great teapot! Glad you at least saved a pic of it! I have some molasses sugar cookies packed up for the tea party! They are yummy! I hope the bears (and the tea partiers) will like them! Here is my card: MMTPT74 Forest Tea Party by cmsuto at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks for the lovely inspiration and the challenge for today.
I did not have any "big bad bears" so we will probably be relegated to the back path (no back door today, Huh?). As it is, I am pretty sure my little guy will not even make it that far. See the description for the rest of the story!
It's almost bedtime here, and I'm partied out for the day. It was lovely to see all the cards in the gallery - DH had a good look at them all too. Thank you all for coming along today.
Haven't made it in to the sales yet, so I might not be around till tomorrow afternoon. I'll refuel on honey in the meantime and hope the rain stops.
What a great teapot. I didn't have appropriate bears, but I found a couple of moose out in the wild, and they came along to scare off the bears. Here's my card.
Hi gals - I have made my card - there is a story to it - and the Lemon Meringue Pie - you can find it here
Thanks for a great Party Sabrina - you did good girl!! Thanks for having me!! {{{hugs}}}
