CAS47: We're taking a trip into the world of Disney! (12/28/09)
What is CAS?
CAS is an acronym for Clean and Simple.
There are different ways people view CAS. It is very subjective. There is no list of rules that will fit everyones personal definition. The following are possible guidelines, only. Please do not feel afraid of playing in the CAS challenge or debate with yourself if youve created a CAS card. If it is a CAS card to you, put CAS in the keyword box.
1. Clean: the design is uncluttered with lots of white or open space. Simple: having a clear focal point without a lot going on to detract from it.
OR
2. simple in design regardless of the number of embellishments or how long it takes to color, stitch or to use a special technique
OR
3. can be copied and mass produced fairly quickly usually without a lot of coloring, layers, embellishments, tools and/or techniques
Inspiration Challenge: This time we are taking a trip into the world of Disney! Even though Karen and I chose to use Disney characters on our cards, it isn't a requirement. Just let your imagination flow while site-seeing
Uploading: Remember the keyword is without spaces. Use a comma between keywords with a space after each comma.
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!

Too funny! My FIL gave me a Mickey embossing folder and die cut for Christmas. It was totally unexpected but I assume it was because he knows how much my daughter likes Mickey Mouse and wanted to bring us together in my hobby! I can't wait until her bedtime to play with Mickey. Perhaps, I'll let her play with Mickey tomorrow and make her own CAS card.
I can't believe it -- still haven't gone to bed -- looked at the challenge. The first item I ever got for scrapping was a Mickey Mouse punch -- never used it. . .That punch was starting my "scrapbook hobby". . .I finally get to use it -- and is it ever CAS.

It's never too late to live happily ever after.
Another thought-provoking challenge for me, Miss Boo. Not having many stamps that I would call "child-oriented", I needed to find something that I could take another direction, but still relate to the Disney piece. It was fun! Good ways to get the mind wheels going in the AM. Thanks!!
I think this may be the first time I've done the CAS challenge. I live maybe 20 miles from Disney World, so I was sort of compelled to do a card for this challenge today. Here is my card: Fairy Happy Birthday!
Fun challenge! My mind immediately went to Minnie Mouse's penchant for polka dots! Here's mine. It's been forever since I've done a challenge -- it's good to be back.
Thanks!
This is a perfect challenge for me!! I've had a CAS mini scrapbook of our trip to Disney partially made for a year and haven't finished it yet. Maybe I'll actually get it done in the next few days thanks to this challenge!!!
Here's my contribution- as I said, I'm not a Disney fan so have no Disney stamps (I don't even have any mouse stamps!) but then I thought of using the Disney song, *When You Wish Upon a Star* as my inspiration, and this is what I came up with.

I almost didn't do this one because I thought that there wouldn't be anything I could do. I think it actually turned out better than OK. Thanks Miss Boo for the challenge.
