Default Side step card instructions, larger card

Hello there from a lurker *shy smile*.

I have been scouring the forums/gallery on here for something different to do for cards for my parents and inlaws and really like the look of the side step cards. Unfortunately, I can only find instructions for a finished card 4.25x5.5" but I want a finished card around 6"x8". Have been faffing for about an hour now and can't get it right, anyone have the measurement? I seem to have it in my head I should be able to figure out a formula but figuring things out like this isn't my strong point (obviously!).

Long shot I know! but thanks if you can help

I've got it. It's a PDF, so anyone who wants the pattern email me so I can attach it for you.

Thank you very much for the instructions. I know how hard it is to try to modify a pattern. It is even harder to try to explain it to others, either in written form or verbal. Your generosity is appreciated.

Would you please send me the directions. I've been looking for 1/2 hour - found examples but no directions. [email protected]. Thanks a million!
