Have any of you demos worked with these yet? What deets can share about them? How many stamps can they hold? Can they hold a big PTI set?
I've got dozens of clear sets stored in CD cases and don't like that little ones can fall out of the open space on the front.
Does anyone know another source for them that might be cheaper? SU's shipping seems high, and it'd be great if I could find the same thing either locally or in bulk with free shipping.
Susan...

In post 20 MikiBee says that the DVD cases she buys do not have the insert. You could always PM her for more info.
Great question...I will be following this too. I am tempted to go with DVD cases, but they will definitely take up more room than what I have!
Then again you might check out the cd calendar cases at this site: http://www.calendar-case.com/
They are same size and shape as a cd case but the hole is filled in. No lost pieces!
They also have larger sizes like 4x6, but they are a bit more expensive.
I think this is what PTI sells for the "upgraded" case for their sets.
I think they would hold a lot of stamps. I got 9 sets of these and just love love love the storage...not sure but I think they would easily hold the double sets of PTI. some on each side of the case.
blessings.
And the shipping is more if you order them on the SU website. Order through your demo and it's only 10% (if combined with other orders) or a minimum of $6.95 (10% on orders above $69.50) if you prefer direct shipping.
Diane, thanks for the link to the thread. I'll definitely read through it and see what options there are. Didn't even know PTI offered an upgrade on cases...how did I miss that?!?! Honestly, it's only recently I've become dissatisfied with the regular cd cases. When I saw the cases in the mini, I wondered if I could get satisfied...and how much it will cost me, LOL!
Brenda, I only order from my demo 'cause I adore her. She's great!
I really like the new cases. They are DVD sized. I'm not sure how many stamps would fit inside. And, if you buy a SU set, it has an insert with the full-sized stamped images, plus, little images on the spine. Very cool, I think. I'm liking the whole thing.
I wanted to add that these are like movie DVD cases. There is no open space. I don't have any PTI stamps or even stamps without foam. But, I put two stamps on EZMount on top of each other and the box closes; however, stamps with thicker rubber on EZMount, Cornish Heritage for example, won't work with putting stamps on both sides.

Oh, thanks! At least I can put clear stamps on both sides, and at DVD size, I should be able to fit a lot in one.
I use these with the storage sheets from GKD. I use the white ones because they are only $1.07 each, but they have clear ones for $3.74. They will hold several sets of stamps. Love 'em.

Those look like my binders but I paid A LOT more than $1.07. Hmmm, I think I'll bookmark that place.
I use the CD cases as well. I pulled out the insert, had DH slice off the edge piece and glued them back in, no gap, nothing can fall out. Model glue works great.

Hey! great idea...never thought of it ! I'll have to check this out.
OH I love these cases. I have a lot of them from GinaK and I use them for my Daily Bread stamp sets..I think I too will bookmark the site in the UK. I spent a LOT more than that on my last order. I love the sheets from GinaK for the inside though I have a lot of them.
blessings.
How did you guys get the SU cases? I thought they couldn't be ordered until after January?? I'm a demo and thought I wasn't able to get a set!
I don't know about demos, but I can't order them until Jan. I just asked if demos HAD gotten them early and could tell me any details about them because demos usually can get things a bit ahead to prepare for workshops and such. Hopefully a demo can chime in and answer your question.
Diane, the site for calendar cases seems by far the best value at 100 for $29. Thanks for finding that option! The SU cases would cost $125 for 100 (though perhaps they are big enough to hold twice as many stamps), plus 10%, plus tax. I'd rather use that money for buying more stamps, LOL!
Also, I can keep all the cd storage boxes that I have. Not sure where I'd put all the DVD-size cases in my craft room.
My demo had gotten hers on her pre-order when I was there the other day, so I got a good preview of them. LOVE the stamps--but I can't say the same about the cases. Sure, they are good cases, and very nice--BUT for those of us that have the JetMax storage cubes and file our stamps in CD cases in the 4-square drawers, these new cases are too big. I can't afford to add drawers for just these cases, and then not have them filed with my other stamps. You know how it is--as soon as you keep something in a separate area away from similar things, you forget about it! So for me--my cling-mounted SU! stamps will go into CD cases like the rest.
NOW--that being said--I love the stamps! They look great, and the cling-mount is very very very similar to the EZ-Mount (different color). The only thing I saw was that she told me the video they got to tell them how to use/sell the stamps showed that they take the sticker that shows the stamp (this is also die-cut to match the stamp) and put it on the cling-mount, so you can see what/where the design is. I understand the concept--but I do have concerns over whether the vinyl of the sticker will hold up to clinging over and over again. They were told to press the stamp against the acrylic block and hold it there for a few seconds to get it to cling--whereas I really just have to touch my block to the EZ-mounted stamps (and even to their cling-mounted stamps) and it holds it firmly. So I don't think I'll be putting the stickers on my cling mount.
LOVE it that they finally listened to all of us that used the cling-mounted stamps!!!!!!!

Does anyone know if they are going to be changing all their stamps to the clear mount option? I don't want to buy a bunch of stamps in SAB (and unmount them all) just to find that I could have bought the set cheaper and unmounted like I want later.
The way my demo explained it, the stamps that are going to be offered in clear mount will also be offered in wood mount--it's just that the wood mount will cost more. And it is my understanding that it will be clearly stated in the catalogs whether it is available both ways or just in one or the other.

Stampendous sells clear plastic boxes for this purpose, ever since they started selling their cling mounted stamps. I got one at Archiver's before SU came out with them. They may also sell them on their web site.
I'm confused about which ones are clear mount and which ones aren't?
They are listed both ways in the upcoming occasions mini catalog, the one with the lower price, is the clear mount. Plus, there is also a little "C" icon next to the clear mount and "W" icon next to the wood mounted.
Hi all, I'm a demonstrator w/ SU and I love the new clear mount stamps! Just an FYI, from what I'm reading on the SU! website, it sounds to me like the new sets coming out in the new catty next year will be both clear and wood mount. (Except the Build a Bear)... :-D
I generally have a strong preference for wood-mounted stamps but I do own some that are unmounted (and not really organized in any fashion yet) so I'm wondering if the stamp cases soon to be available through SU fit the taller drawers of some JetMax cubes (specifically the 2-shelf /s-drawer style).

Thanks for that info! So, if I'm correct, the older sets will not be coming out as clear mounted?
SU SAB sets ARE offered as unmounted, ready for acrylic mounts. Love them. Now, will SU offer a way for us to convert our wood mount sets to acrylic blocks?
There are quite a few threads on here about how to un-mount your W/M stamps and backing them with EZ-Mount (mfg. by Sunday International, and available many places online). It's not hard, but what makes it easiest is a 'hot knife' to cut the EZ-Mount in a close, smooth contour to your stamp. You certainly don't need to have the hot knife, but it makes it easier.

Yes, they hold PTI big set. They fit in the jet max two drawer cube I have a row of the SU case and a row of CD cases in each drawer. I like the SU cases, a bit pricey but have not found any other option as standard CD cases come with the dvd holder in the middle. I am converting all my stamps to blockless.

Ladies... I apologize if this has been already addressed...
On the SU clear mounts, I use the vinyl sticker on the foam and have had no problems adhering them to my clear blocks. My issue is that they are not sticking to the DVD case. There is an explosion of rubber stamps everytime I open it. Has anyone else had this problem or is it user error on my part?

Oh, Are these kind of see through still or are they totally white? I 'll have to check them out!
I'm looking for something kinda of transparent or opaque so you can see what's inside. I don't really like CD cases as they often crack or break easy. The new Su cases are kinda pricey..... well if you need a lot of them!
Any one know of any sources of cases similar to the SU ones at a better price? I have to buy in bulk!
Somewhere I saw on here, a link to another website that sells boxes similar to the Su ones..... I'm trying to find some because I need to buy in bulk! ( yes, I have big plans to unmount! so I need a lot of boxes at a good price. Anyone know of any places?
TIA
