Ok ladies I need help as I am getting frustrated. Everytime I go to use my crystal effects it will not come out of the bottle. I store it upside down in a cup as that's what I was told to prevent this from happening a while back. Any other suggestions as this is not working. Thanks, Carol
No matter what I do mine is clogged everytime so I just use a piercing tool to poke through the opening. I have found that the Tim Holtz Glossy effects clogs alot less often! I actually just threw away what was left in my crystal effects lat night because of the clogging issue. I will only use Tim holtz from now on. HTH! :-D
Whenever I use a liquid glue I prefer to pour some out (onto a small plastic plate, coffee can lid, or piece of wax/freezer paper - I've even used backers from Xyron adhesive.) I find this easier because I usually brush on the glue or use a tootpick to stratgically place a "dab." If I forget to wipe and dry the threads of the bottle I will need pliers (and sometimes DH using pliers) to open the bottle.
But if I ever do need to unclog the tip, I use toothpicks (less dangerous) and haven't had any problems. My glues are all 2+ years old and have been stored in places where the temperatures vary greatly with the seasons and the glues are all fine but some tips do clog more than others.
Hope you find a lasting solution to an age-old problem :-D
One thing I've just started doing, but that seems to be working so far, is that when I'm finished using my liquid glue, I remove the top of the bottle and rinse it out with warm water and dry it well. Then I put it back on the bottle and add the small cap. I store the bottles right-side-up, but becuase I washed out whatever glue was in the tip of the nozzle before I closed it, it is free-flowing the next time I go to use it.

I do the same thing, and I do it with my spray dyes also. It really helps.
