Look at that buttery yellow, sugary white, the flowers and the candy - doesn't that inspire you to bake! And bake we will.
We're going to have a Cookie Walk at the Tea Party this week. Here's how it works:
Everyone picks their favorite cookie recipe and bakes a batch of cookies. Six dozen will do. Then we'll need a big table to put our trays on (I'll see if we can borrow the conference table from school). Make sure you have an empty container with you to put all your new cookies in.
Once everyone has their cookies on the table we can start. We'll rotate to the left - singing is optional - and pick up three cookies from each tray as we circle the table. No nibbling allowed until we're all done!
We'll keep circling the table until all the trays are empty and our containers are full. Then we'll sit down and have some peppermint tea as we taste all those delightful morsels of sugary goodness.
Oh, and don't forget to bring your recipe to share with everyone. Extra bonus points if your recipe has some kind of candy in it.
So go and find your recipe and let it inspire you this week. Maybe your favorite is gingerbread, or chocolate chip, or simple sugar cookies decorated in red and green. And if you don't celebrate Christmas, I bet you still like cookies or like to bake, or just let the teapot inspire you like I did.
Oh how fun Lorraine. A cookie walk. Yum....oh but no nibbling. hmmmmm....not sure I can control myself. Cookies are one of my favorite things and especially Christmas cookies. I go get my recipe and meet you all there. Thank you for hostessing and what a sweet teapot for our inspiration.

Love your candy pot, very elegant card, and your idea for the party this week. I can see my printer working overtime printing out the lovely recipes everyone will be bringing along. I'll be spending the morning at work trying to decide which recipe to make .
Oh yummy, I love to bake and always like to try new recipes. So this will be a huge fun teaparty, thanks for hosting and planning such a fun time for all. I do hope everyone posts their recipes with their cards so we can all try out some new ones. what fun that will be. I have so many great ones, may have to bring 2 pans of cookies to the party this week.
Off to work and will be thinking all day which ones to use...
Sorry for my bad photo - I'll try to improve it later after our dinner guest has gone.
It's my second card, as I tore the first one apart, and I need to go and get dinner ... Hoot Owl Christmas
Hi Lorraine, I also brought along a Christmas cupcake. Couldn't help myself. Everytime I looked at your cute teapot, I saw a cupcake. So here"s my card.

I'm late! I'm late! For a very important date! But, hey, I'm here!
Here's my challenge card, Lorraine. Thanks so much for hostessing this week! We'll all be blaming you for our weight gain with this cookie walk, but, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.
Hi everyone - sorry I'm so late, but I brought STRAWBERRY TUNNEL CAKE! I know, we were supposed to bring cookies, but I don't really do the kitchen thing - unless it's to clean it after my husband has done the cooking that is! Rarely bake either, but if I do - STRAWBERRY TUNNEL CAKE! oh yeah! Dig in - you're gonna love it!!
Wahoo - finally made it and I have YUMBLY food - nothing Weight Watchers about this lot - hold that Cookie Walk girls coz we are here and wanna play!! Let the party begin!!!
