Default Used Cricut cartridges

Has anyone bought used Cricut cartridges from Craigslist or Ebay? Were they ok? Have you ever heard of the cartridges being defective, or is safe to buy used?

I sold all mine via Craigslist and Ebay. I had 36 of them. They were mostly brand new. I think if you use Ebay just be sure to check the feedback from other buyers. I have not had a bad experience with Ebay.

The "used" carts may have been linked to a Gypsy. If you never intend to buy a Gypsy of your own, then that won't matter. (Cartridges can only be linked to ONE Gypsy.)

As for whether it's safe, I can't say. They could be perfectly fine or they could be broken. Who knows? (There certainly is such a thing as a defective cart, but it's not common.)

I would feel safer on ebay because you can dispute the transaction through Paypal, and if you pay with a credit card, you can go further and dispute it with your cc company.

I'm not familiar with Craigslist policies.

I was going to mention this too about used carts and they might already be linked to a Gypsy. If you get a Gypsy in the future, win one, find an incredible deal you might not be able to link all those great cartridges you bought. As it stands now ProvoCraft has no plans to "unlink" cartridges. That came straight from the top.
