SBSC #27 Scrapbooking Sketch Challenge
SC#27 Sketch Challenge
This week, and every week in the future we will be posting both a 12 X 12 AND a 8-1/2 X 11 double page layout.
These are designed by Amy and myself. You will NOT find these sketches anywhere else!! How exciting is that?
You do not have to fill ALL empty spaces with photos, you can stamp, embellish or use your imagination and fill in the blanks! Just make sure you USE THE SKETCH we provide!! You must follow our sketches to be eligible to win the prize each week. If a double page layout is too much for you to do, we will still judge one page layouts that follow the sketch (just delete one page) If you have any questions post them in here and someone will help you. Be it Amy or myself, or someone that knows the answer J
Scan or take a photo or your work, upload with SBSC#27 in the keywords, and post it here for us all to see. Please be sure you use these keywords so we can search for judging!
Tip: If you like you can type what your journaling says in the notes section of your upload in your galley. Be sure to JOURNAL though.
Be remember there are no uploads on Sundays, as the wonderful ladies that approve uploads need a day off too!

Hahhaha, I thought we had to use these layouts for the theme sketch! I mean, I have a LOT of shoes, but this is rediculous!!!!!!! Ok, I think I know what I'm doin now! (I THINK!!!).
ok, 1 more question! I can't read what's in the squares & circles! Do I need to know what they say!? Sorry to be a pain!

You made me laugh and feel better...teasing each other and stuff...I'm glad to see the challenges...I am not a shoe person, but brochures I may be able to do...I'll definitely do the sketch challenge...tomorrow. Too tired to think right now!!!

I am stuck big time on this..... i just can't get inspired and this was the first time I thought I would do a challenge. and I have been at it several hours. :-( help me, help me!

I'm sorry you are stuck! It seems your post was posted when nobody around. Have you worked out your Scrapper's block? I know that when I start a page if I get 'stuck' I walk away. I take a break, and go do something else, and try not to think about my page. Most times, when I come back somthing HITS me! (It's usually the glue I threw, falling off the ceiling lololol) No seriously, try that, and if you still need help post again!

I really have NO room to talk because I haven't even started mine yet!...but sometimes when I'm stuck, I do exactly like Cindy says and I walk away and try not to think about it. Sometimes that's hard to do, so I take more focus off of it by looking at a stamp/scrapbook magazine or catalog or something and I get filled with so much inspiration that way!! If I can't find anything that way, then just come back here and look at ALL the posted pages on this site!! The people on here are so talented and I just bounce ideas off just from looking at their stuff...it's amazing to see what others come up with! That doesn't mean you have to "copy", but just use the idea to spring up other ideas and come up with one of your own ideas. Sometimes I can't work at all unless I have something in mind. If my mind is a blank...I just can't do it and I have to leave my stamp area or I'll just wind up sitting there staring at my blank spot in front of me. Hope that helps!!;-)

Well I uploaded my pages but it isn't approved yet. I am not sure I put it in the right place nor did I size it the right way. I just got a digital camera and really don't know what to do yet. As soon as the approval is through I will post the link. Thanks for the challenge, it was a challenging day.
Here's mine. It didn't photo well at all. The colours look blah in the pic. But, IRL, it's one of the best pages I've ever done. I love it! Thanks for the sketch!
I just got home from work. I didn't figure out how to do the stitching yet but I did start to do a vintage scrapbook and that is 81/2x11. I'll have to work on that. I know I don't have anything for the challenges but will work on the sketch tomorrow.

So I will do more pages and upload them on Monday! I have never uploaded pictures on here, so that is all new for me!

Oh, I did the theme challenge too...gotta get the finishing touches put on.
This is fun...I got 6 pages done doing all this!

As far as the technicalities go, you do have to follow the sketch to be eligible for judging for the prizes. But if you go ahead and do some for the sketch challenge, that'll just bring a little variety to your sb!
Oh, and on one of the threads I linked to a post that had all the info you need to upload, post links to your upload, etc. Lemme see if I can find it........

Kathy, I really don't know where the "h..e.." double hockey sticks I was going with this. It is suppose to be the Travel sketch challenge. I have a pocket on one page to hold some tickets and on the other page I have a pocket on the bottom with flip windows for the other two brochures to open up and show the rest of my map. I hope this qualifies for this challenge. I saw the other entries and became nervous that I did it wrong. Maybe I will do another this week... :eek: Diana
OK. I couldn't wait to figure out how to post 12x12s so I did the 81/2 x 11. It actually forced me to work on this book because I've only done one page so far. I'm not really even sure how it's going to come together as a book and that is why I haven't done anything with it yet. I'll upload them tomorrow (monday). And link here once approved. It was fun and I'm glad I did more with this book I've been putting on the backburner.

do the squares at the edges have to be all exact...or is the layout a guideline and the pics can be trimmed to a size that leaves the image comprehensible LOL??? Still have five little images ion each page plus a circle & title

WOW! I actually completed two pages for this one...usually it takes me days to get anything on paper...I think they still need a little something...am sure I will get back to them during the week after rooting throught my embellishments stash!
