Question New to JustRite

Hello. I finally bought a few sets of JustRite stamps. My 1 5/8 stamper works fine. However, I also bought the 2" stamper that comes with a font and I bought the holiday demi border phrases. The demi borders do not fit very tightly into the stamper. I can live with that, but it's the 15 pt. font that fits horribly. Are they supposed to be loose so you can adjust the letters or am I doing something wrong? The letters slide all around so if I put more than must one word on the stamp all the letters slide together when I turn the stamper upside down to ink the stamp. I hope there is something I'm doing wrong, because I am very disappointed in these stamps so far. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I will be interested to see what kind of an answer you get on this. I have the small JustRite round wood and the recipe set. I have also used these stamps at a workshop, and frankly I hate them. I think it is hard to place them, and frequently they don't stamp well. I would think it was just me, but I saw many people at the workshop who got poor images as well. Hope someone can help you, because it seems there are people who love these stamps out there. I am just not understanding why because I am certainly not a fan!

I went to the JustRite Stampers website and looked under the FAQ section because I thought maybe I was doing something wrong. I found out that there were some 2" stampers that were improperly manufactured and some of those made it to the marketplace before it was caught. They said if you believe you have a faulty stamper you should contact them for a replacement. I had to email them twice, but the finally said they will send me a replacement.

I really like mine. I find that they work with Versamark and chalk inks better. I don't like the self inking monogram stamp. It really does describle itself.......when I try to use it, I get ink all over self!! Some have stated problems lining up the circular stamps, exactly, on a card, and I had never thought of that as I have only used the rectangular ones.

I'm glad to hear that they are replacing your stamper for you. Mine are loose but they do not slide around like yours do.

Well, here's anopther update.... It's been a week since they said they'd replace my stamper and I have not heard one word from them! I've just sent them another email asking what is going. They are only in the next state. There is no way it should take them this long to send my replacement. I'm really getting upset about this.

They replied to my email within 5 minutes. She said she doesn't know why my replacement hasn't been shipped yet, but she'll make sure it goes out today. We'll see. I'll keep you further updated when/if I receive it.

I think I had better go test my brand new 2" stamper....It would be just my luck to get a dodgy one!
