just wondering if there were any stampers out there in Kansas, mainly the northeast part of the state. I live in KS now, but i am from NH...boy i miss it!!!
I was just going to do a post about Kansas stampers. I was born & raised in Lawrence, KS and am going home on this coming Friday for Thanksgiving next week.
I was interested in how many people were in the Lawrence, Topeka, or Kansas City area. I'll probably go nuts spending all my time with my mom.
I'll really go nuts being away from all my stamping supplies! What am I going to do???
have u been back to KC since ARchivers opened???? OOOOOHHHH, heaven on earth!!! a bit pricey, but they have LOTS of room to work and LOTS of diecut machines!!! wish it was closer to me!! I am at Ft Riley
Kansas from New Hampshire. I don't think I could do it. I need my pine tree covered hills and mountains lakes to swim in and the ocean too. I live in the Concord, NH area and love it. The only other place I could ever see myself moving to is the coast of Maine north of Portland. Where did you used to live in New Hampshire? Ann
How about CA to IL to KS? I'm in Wichita--can't wait to go home to CA for Christmas--will miss my stamps for those 12 days, though. Oh well, maybe I can get my SIL hooked while I'm there
i lived in Hampton and Newmarket. I moved from there in July 2003, and i would still be there if i didnt marry someone in the military!!! lol I dont mind Kansas, i actually like it, since i am originally from upstate NY, where there are rural areas... Kansas is definitely rural!! lol
Location: needs some retail therapy....now just to decide what to buy!

I live in Olathe. I am originally from Washington State and got to Kansas via Phoenix. Talk about weather extremes! Am enjoying Kansas but would move back to Phoenix in a heartbeat!
I am a true Kansan I was born and raised in the great state of Kansas. I still live the small town that I was raised in. That would be Osawatomie it is 60 miles south of Kansas City and 30 Miles from the Kansas border. Those of you in to history yes Osawatomie is were John Brown was . ther are sveral scrapbook store in the Kansas city area .The stamp Patch in Lee Smmitt MO, and two in Olathe KS and other in Mission. I am not aware of an in Lawarnce but there in Hobby Lobby and Michales. Down town in lawarence is total cool lots of great shop we are about 45 Min away .
Have a great time in Kansas
Michelle my husband is working on his master (yes you got it right in History) at ESU he stay there during the week and is home on the weekends or I am there. I dont know where Allen is which away from Admire or Americuis
Kris,
We lived Washington state for 4 years and we loved every minute of it! We hope to get back as soon as my husband is done with his job here, he's in the Air Force and I can't wait for the next two years to go quick!
Oh I know about extreme weather, we live in San Antonio now and I don't even have a lot of winter clothes to pack to go home this weekend. I told my husband I need to make a quick shopping trip before we go. The kids are taken care of, now I just needs some long sleeve shirts and pants. My sister says it's COLD!!! BRRRR
My mom told me about a month ago someone opened a scrapbook store in downtown Lawrence. I can't wait to go and check it out! I'll probably be in there a few times since I'm not going to have my stamping supplies to work with. I may buy some scrapbooking things. I'm gonna check out the stores in Kansas City too....
I was born in Olathe! I don't remember being there as I was a baby when my parents moved back to WI (dad was in the Navy and stationed in Olathe). I would like to go there sometime just to see what it's like! I heard that's it's changed a lot since my parents lived there in the late 60's!
I live in Olathe, KS --- by way of Weston, CT. Have lived her since 1990 though. I do miss the Northeast charm, but absolutely love the midwest hospitality
I'm in Lawrence Kansas, home of the Jayhawks! I grew up in Admire, just down the road from Michelle in Allen (attended NHHS). People who have been to Admire either live there or they are terrible lost!
I love Lawrence, but honestly, I'd move West in a heartbeat. I've spent the last 5 years of vacation in Colorado or New Mexico, both suite me very well!
Great topic, I am enjoying getting to know the "locals" on SCS!

Me too!!!
I live in Olathe and grew up in Overland Park... my parents still live in the house I grew up in. I love it here... but have a feeling, I'll be moving to the other side of the river... but that won't be for a while, I think...

FORT RILEY!!! I spent 3.5 years there. My older two boys were born there. Ahh...the memories! I am in KC now, but the MO side.
I cannot tell you how sad I am that there is not even any one else this side of hays on this site....it makes me so lonely!!! I lived the first 25 years of my life in Colorado ( just outside of Denver and in Fort Collins for college) and have lived here the last 4. I am still not too far from Colorado 17 miles but a long way from a big city about 220 miles.....I hope we can find someone else besides me on this side of the state!!!!
I lived in the KCMO area for years and now moving back onto the KS side in just a couple weeks. Would love to get to know you all when I come back. I'm going to really miss my Vegas stampers.
I live just across the river in Parkville. Proud to say that I have an Archivers 15 minutes from my house, Simply Scrapbooks 10 minutes away and Scrapbooker's Dream 25 minutes away.
Unfortunately, for Thanksgiving I will be across the state in St. Louis at my in-laws house. We go there every year. I can say that an Archivers just opened up 5 minutes from their house. Looks like I'm going to have some fun this year.

Convention at Kearny NE. I will try to find out her name and email you if that is OK.

I'm out that way all the time!!! The guy I started seeing live up there... now I'm so close to all those too!! Not that I didn't have enough shopping choices out here!!!
woodmarc-
That would be great! currently there are 4 of us in my town of 5000 it is pretty saturated...but I would sure like to meet someone else that is on this side of the state for more ideas!!! Thanks! Koren
Good to see so many Kansas stampers out there! I live 30 min east of Wichita. I used to live in Manhattan while my DH finished school. I have to say the northeast is prettier than the rest, so you are in a great spot! My upline lives in Topeka. Hope you are able to find some new friends through this post!
scrappinchick,
I'm in New Hampshire! I live in a small town just outside of Concord. My son lived in Newmarket until a month or so ago, when he bought a duplex near downtown Dover.
Every state has its beauty, but I love living in NH! We live in a rural area, but we're just a short hop to the mountains, the lakes, the ocean, and Boston. I've visited all over the country, and there's no place like home for me!

I love living in NH. I moved up from neighboring Massachusetts about 10 years ago and NO WAY am I ever moving back! I'm about halfway between Manchester and Portsmouth. I think about the only thing wrong with NH is that we don't have one of these Archivers stores everybody is raving about, and the closest AC Moore is down in Mass. Well, OK, that and we have WAY too many Wal-marts. There's a Wal-mart less than 2 miles from my house and 8 more within 30 minutes. Yikes!!!

I'm just outside of Derry. I've lived in NH most of my life...was born in Mass, lived there until 2nd grade and then NH until now except for college in Maine. I met DH while in college and said if he wanted to marry he would have to chase me to NH...he did
I live in southern Maine! You would know it - North Berwick, just north of South Berwick (LOL) and above the Kittery/Eliot area - over the bridge from Portsmouth NH which of course if you were from Hampton you know where that is!
Ooh boy, Kansas, now how is THAT? I have to say that is a far cry from here. I moved up here from Massachusetts also (and yes I can honestly say I don't miss it there either) I lived in Texas for a couple years which is about as close to Kansas as I ever got, but missed the northeast beaches big time so here I am again. And I didnt' go to the beach once this summer, fancy that for missing it so! But I love it here anyway!
Great to see so many others here from around here!
Up until 8 months ago I had lived in Wichita, KS. I grew up in Newton, KS. I never thought I would say this, but I miss it. We moved to Goldsboro, NC. It is so small here, I miss the big town. I'm used to multiples of one store. Here we are lucky to have one of anything. We laugh there has got to be some serious inbreeding here.
i live in a little town south of osawatomie about 20 minutes from cinda! HI CINDA its her fault i spend so much on stamps! she is a great friend and demonstrator!
I live in New Hampton, NH which is in the central part of the state. We moved here 17 years ago from Long island, NY. It's not perfect but it certainly is beautiful and quiet.
