Do you emboss your images before coloring?

I bought the Bic Mark-its and I've been watching some youtube videos on coloring with them. Several suggest embossing so that the edges don't bleed... really? I can, I just never thought of doing it. Do you?

I have a heat gun but never got into embossing. I just bought a Cuttlebug instead, lol.

About coloring with the Bics...I have them and the Sharpies. I just color very carefully and don't get actually on or over the lines. I use white 110 lb cardstock from Sams, and Versafine Onyx pigment ink. I have very little bleeding or smearing on my images.

I'm kind of a precise person, so this works pretty well for me.

I've embossed the image before and I really like the way it looks, plus it definitely won't smudge!

I have those markers too and agree with the pp about trying to stay off the lines. Also I have tried the bic mark its with embossing and it seemed if you do go over the lines it ruins the marker. Just my experience.. HTH

I next to never emboss. I just don't think of it!

I emboss all the time. I love the gold edges, or raised shiny black ones. Plus, as others have said, nothing runs. Fine detail embossing powder is essential for this, so you can get color into the small spaces.

I emboss just about everything I color with my Copics. It help me stay in the lines and really makes the colors much bolder.

Not if I can help it! ;)

Thermal embossing is almost always a last resort option for me, or when I just want a metallic look and don't intend to color anything in at all.
